169, Lebuh Noordin, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Good location on a quiet street. Close to central bus station, main mall and lots of cafes/restaurants. Only 10 minute walk to the old town area. Owner was friendly and helpful, check in was easy and there was a good size kitchen. Private room was large with a bedroom and a lounge area, plenty of space, bed comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The walls were very thin so you could hear everything from the other rooms and bathroom but it was quiet from early so not a problem really.
Don't understand the wrong reviews people put previously in here.. The hostel was literally the best one I have stayed here in Malaysia so far in two weeks of travelling. Super super clean, any kind of smells and the bed was very comfortable (slept in the dormitory) but still there was an high level of privacy and WiFi also was working really good. The position was literally the best I could have ever asked to explore the heritage center and all the main attractions of the town and to not forget, the owner was very sweet and very attentive to hygiene of the place and gave a good welcoming sense and tips to explore places near by. Would come back!!
Stayed in the dorm. You need to take off your shoes upon entry, which is good. Locker is under the bad and can fit a 65L backpack, good. Has filtered drinking water supply, good. Multi-plug socket, good. The Aircon in the room is too cold, I need to put fleece on to avoid getting cold. There's not enough toilet and shower. Curtain does cover the entire entrance to bed, so no complete privacy.
