A rather new hotel in South Bank Brisbane. The location and rooms are fine. However, with the exception of Johnny, who is practically running everything, there is a total lack of service. We left the room at noon and asked in particular to make up the room. Do not disturb sign was taken off. That was absolutely fine as they had the cleaning service till 2pm. There was a mentioning in the computer as well. When we came back in the evening nothing was done and on our demand some towels were brought up. The next day we left at 11 am and again asked specifically to do the room. On return it was done but some items from staff left behind and bed barely closed. Despite being fairly new, the carpet in the room had a strong odor. They have a small restaurant. We asked several days breakfast in the room. The simple addition of an egg, bacon and spinach (which on the last day they did not even bother to cook the spinach) amounts to 55 dollars. This hotel is in serious need of management

This is a modern (recently constructed) hotel located in the popular south bank area of central Brisbane. Unfortunately the lack of attention to details seriously detracts from the hotel’s attractiveness. We were so disappointed that we checked out early after three nights.

This hotel boasts that it has “well-appointed hotel accommodations ranging from modern rooms to ultra spacious suites with galley kitchenettes.” Well, we stayed in the top-end suite room category and describing it as “well-appointed … with galley kitchenette” is an absurd exaggeration.

This room category boasts a large balcony with two small chairs and a tiny table. The balcony is basically unfurnished (see picture). So why did I pay extra for a balcony room?

The “galley kitchenette” consisted of a microwave oven, medium-size refrigerator, and very little in the way of dishes. Equipping the kitchenette was obviously an afterthought that was ignored.

The guest laundry faculties were truly lamentable. There was rust on the inside of the washers and dryers and the paint on the inside of the doors of the machines was peeling off. These machines look like they should be sent to the scrap yard.

Courtyard hotels bill themselves as family friendly with facilities that don’t make it necessary to visit restaurants for all meals and outside facilities for laundry services. This hotel fails miserably on both counts and doesn’t deserve to be called a Courtyard.

Not recommended, especially considering the price.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was not clean—dirty bedding and carpets made it feel unhygienic. There was no complimentary water in the room, only reusable bottles you had to purchase, which could supposedly be refilled from water stations in the corridor. However, the tanks were empty, making it impossible to get drinking water. Even skimped on toilet paper, providing low quality single ply.

The location was ok, and the staff was friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and amenities. Would not stay here again.

Expect more for $400 per night room.
Website showed river views from balcony, our allocated room had a small slice of a view. Advertising doesn't mention Children's Hospital helicopter landing on the roof at 2.00am. When we returned to the room on a hot Saturday evening, room wasn't serviced and a/c was off! Water pressure in the shower was shocking, difficult to wash your hair! Breakfast as part of booking was $28/head but off the a la carte menu what we got was worth $22.50.
And on top of all that bill was completely messed up, overcharged by over $800! Overall, not a great experience. Will not stay here again. Very unhappy
