218 W 50th St, New York, NY 10019, United States
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and definitely plan to come back many times in the future. The staff was extremely nice and made me feel very welcome. I appreciated their professionalism and they were always ready to help any way they could. The hotel and my room were very modern and cute! I loved having the iPad that controlled the functions of the room. I also really loved the rooftop bar and the drinks were nice and STRONG lol, and it’s a great spot for taking cute pics and gives you amazing views of the city. It was also central to many of the tourist spots around Manhattan, so I never had to walk far. Also, the price for what you get simply could not be beat. It was one of the cheaper options I could find in Times Square and I’m so glad I stuck with my gut and decided to stay here. CitizenM made my first time in New York so special and I’m so grateful for the experience!
The room was very modern and tech-savvy, featuring an iPad that let you control everything from the TV to the window blinds, curtains, room lighting, etc. You could also easily connect and stream your own devices, which was a really convenient to watch things in our native language. However, the room itself was on the smaller side for two people - definitely more comfortable for a solo traveler. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and still worked well for two. One downside was the poor sound insulation. Street noise, conversations on the floor, and the constant hum of the elevator going up and down were all quite noticeable. While we were so tired at the end of each day that it didn’t bother us too much, anyone sensitive to noise might find it frustrating. The location is excellent for exploring Upper Manhattan, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive whenever we needed something. The hotel also has a nice rooftop bar, though the quality of the drinks could be improved. Depending on the price, we might consider staying here again. If there’s a good offer, we can definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff was all so amazing, super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and has a fun, modern vibe. You can get to most of Manhattan in 20-30 minutes or less. I also liked the gym.
Perfect Spot for Travelers! This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, and plenty of subway stations, which made getting around super easy. The rooms are cozy with big, comfy beds....perfect after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was just what we needed to start the day. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!
The people who own/run citizenM Times Square Hotel are very clever. Expensive, excellent location on Times Square, so rooms need to be small. But they have taken care of the most important things: The bed, the pillows, the linens are top-quality gorgeous. Huge and comfortable. My family and I slept very well. Shower by Hansgrohe was respectable. Service was very friendly. So they have nailed the most important things! A homely lobby to hang out at, technology in the room, carefully thought-through amenities are bonuses.
