What a fantastic performance and we had front row seats! ? So moving and absolutely blew me away! ♥️ There were some differences - I didn’t really appreciate them making Rafiki female, some of the words were different (no huge negative impact there). They added a touch of Frozen, which was cool. Highly recommend this musical and I’d go again. Oh, and, don’t forget to check out the cool merchandise! ?
What a beautiful musical and rendition of a classic animated film! I cried within the opening of the show by how beautiful the sun set was and the costuming! The cast did such a gorgeous work and job and the dancing, shadow work, lighting and music all worked together to make a beautiful theatre piece. Absolutely stunning and so worth it! We sat at one of the top rows and still had a beautiful view! I loved watching the stilted giraffes and the dancers flow throughout the evening. There are quite a few songs that aren’t in the original movie that are interweaved throughout the show.
I recently took my 15-year-old son and husband to see The Lion King musical in NYC, and we all loved it! The vibrant costumes and stunning puppetry truly brought the story to life, and the music was just as memorable as in the film. We found ourselves captivated by the performances, especially the energy of Simba and Rafiki. One downside was the seating—being in an older theater, the chairs were a bit small and uncomfortable, which made for a snug experience. Despite that, the magic of the show far outweighed the discomfort. It was a fantastic family outing, filled with laughter and a few emotional moments. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable night out!
An AMAZING show! Went to a mid-week 2pm show with family, including 6 year old niece—we all loved it! We were in Orchestra Row T and view was great, plus performers come down the aisles as they make their way up to the stage. No cameras allowed during the performance but I took a pre-show photo for a view from our seats. Act I was 1.5 hours then a 15-min intermission and Act II was 1 hour. Security line and ushers were very efficient. Highly recommend!
Wow! Wow! wow! 20+ years after I sobbed through the first 6 times…It still holds! Truly one of the most amazing Musicals EVER! No aspect is missed in every single way. Thank you for an amazing performance! A very special thank to Billy & Caleb and the rest of the team. You truly made our night! ???️☮️?
