I’d give this a 6 star if I could. We’ve previously stayed in Capri by Fraser in Johor Bahru, and I can safely say Capri never disappoints. The rooms were nice and clean, their amenities were top-notch, including the gym and play room. The staffs were super friendly and hospitable too. I’d like to specially mention one of the staffs, Shah, whom I believe really went above and beyond for their customers. Also, if you’re ever feeling like splurging, do give their room service a try. Their foods are impeccable, especially the salmon miso. Location wise, it’s pretty great. Walking distance from the Pavilion, and ~10minutes from Berjaya Times Square. There are a few seafood shops that are opened till late at night (like 5am) so you don’t ever have to worry about being back late.

I would have given Capri by Fraser 3 stars for two main reasons. First, as it was our first trip to Malaysia and we arrived late after a long flight, we expected a warm welcome. Unfortunately, the reception staff were quite cold. I had emailed a request for early check-in, knowing it was based on availability, but the front desk was not aware of my request when we arrived. Second, a senior hotel staff member helped us arrange a private taxi from KL to Genting Highlands. The price quoted was high, and we later discovered that when we traveled to Malacca the next day—a place much farther away—the fare would have been three times more. We ended up paying an extra RM100, which left us feeling disappointed since we expected the hotel staff to be our trusted guide in an unfamiliar area. On the positive side, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great—within walking distance of popular spots like Pavilion. I also appreciated the friendly security guard whose smile and kind wishes for our safe travel brightened our day. Overall, while the room and location were excellent, the cold welcome at reception and the taxi fare issue really affected our experience. I hope the hotel improves its service for future guests.

Really happy with my stay here. Location is excellent, within walking distance to major malls and a popular night life strip. The room felt luxurious and was spotless with all facilities you could need and more, pool views are stunning and staff are always pleased to see you and greet you. The included breakfast had a lot of variety as well. A week here wasn't enough!
