20-1 Nishinokyo Kangakuincho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8413, Japan
Very clean n quiet room. Lots of supermarket n convenience stores nearby. Love the idea of shower room becoming a clothes dryer, free laundry. A pantry at lobby for u to cook breakfast or dinner. What I like most is each room individual aircon n I can control the temperature I like during autumn n winter ?
Calm Castle Hotel Nijo is a fantastic place to stay, offering both comfort and convenience. The hotel is located just 600 meters from the nearest subway station and close to a convenience store, making it an ideal base for exploring Kyoto. Its central location is perfect for visiting most of the nearby attractions, which I was able to cover during my four-day stay. One of the great features of the hotel is the kitchen on the ground floor, which allows guests to prepare their own meals—a wonderful option for those who enjoy cooking or prefer a more budget-friendly stay. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and provide everything you need for a comfortable visit. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout your stay. The only challenge I faced was initially finding the hotel on Google Maps due to the difference in the name listed on Booking.com (Miro Kyoto Nijo Hotel). However, once I located it, everything went smoothly. Overall, Calm Castle Hotel Nijo offers a great combination of location, amenities, and service, making it an excellent choice for anyone visiting Kyoto.
Great staff and nice, clean and quiet room with a confortable bed (especially after 3 ryokans/guesthouses). Stayed 4 nights and it was just right to walk from there to every popular areas of Kyoto. We had a lot of fun in the Nijo Castle area itself, tons of good restaurants (vegan too), hidden bars and cool boutiques. Definitely recommend!
Room was clean, simple and to the point. A kitchen was available for those wanting to cook. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The best part, in my opinion, was that we could use the laundry machines at no additional charge -- they even gave us soap.
Rooms are small but very new and clean. Has a communal kitchen. Very handy.
