If you're looking for a private and peaceful retreat with your friends, this place is definitely worth considering. The serene environment filled with trees and plants makes it an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The small water creek in the corner adds to the calming atmosphere, creating a soothing sound to keep your ears busy. While the road to the place can be bumpy, it adds to the overall feeling of seclusion, giving you a sense of being off the beaten path. It's worth noting that a high rack vehicle is recommended, as low rack cars may not fare as well on the rough terrain. Meals are not provided on-site, but the junction is just around 5km away, so it's easy to head out for meals. Additionally, there is a local food chain restaurant called Machan on the way to the junction, making it a convenient option for grabbing a quick bite. One thing to be aware of is the potential for mosquitoes at night. However, this is a common issue in many outdoor environments and can generally be managed with the use of bug spray or other mosquito repellents. Overall, if you're looking for a secluded and peaceful place to spend some quality time with friends surrounded by nature, this place could be a great choice.
The most friendly host (!!!) and honestly some of the best Sri Lankan food I’ve had (and I’ve had a lot in 4 months)! Super secluded and quiet. Felt like a small oasis with the river closeby. Safari organized from there was amazing too! Thank you
After our Booking(dot)com booking got unexpectedly cancelled by another host, we drove around Udawalawe for over an hour trying to find a good spot. Everyone was more interested in selling us safaris (in the pouring rain) rather than offering a nice place to stay. We found Brookline and chose them because it feels like a paradise all on its own. The property is amazing. The hosts were not pushy at all, in fact quickly became our friends, and we felt so relaxed just chilling at the treehouse and enjoying the sound of the river. The family is extremely kind and welcoming, and their cooking is incredible and fresh. Thanks for the great stay & would highly recommend.
The homestay family was very very friendly and nice :) I had to eat glutenfree due to coeliac desease and that was no problem at all, they adapted every meal to that! It is an ectremly quiet location not far away from the nationalpark in the middle of nature. I would definitely recommend the place.
A hidden gem in the jungle, even with z warm shower! Really enjoyed a dip in the pool after our safari too! I forgot some of my stuff before leaving to Weligama, but the host made sure I got that back safely!
