Bintan Beach Resort (BBR) is one of the go-to places to stay in Tanjungpinang. It’s located at the end of Pantai Impian and pretty much in the city center. You can definitely tell the hotel’s a bit old from the look of the inside and outside. The room amenities are pretty basic (not sure about other rooms, but mine didn’t have a kettle or even the usual complimentary stuff like hotel slippers), and the worst part was the power outlet—too far from the bed! So yeah, if you want to charge your phone, it’s like five steps away. The breakfast was also kind of underwhelming for a ‘resort.’ It was mostly carbs and just an omelette station. Not much variety, but at least the restaurant had a nice outdoor vibe. On the plus side, the views and extra facilities were pretty decent. There’s a pool and a play area. The beachfront location is nice, and it’s still close to the city. The price is reasonable for what you get.

I came to Tanjung Pinang city and stayed for a night due to a business trip. Previously, I stayed at a 'stars' hotel in the city center. This time I was looking for quite place. Out of curiosity, I decided to try this hotel and booked it through the link on their Instagram @karyawanbbrhotel. It turned out to be very affordable. At first, I was skeptical, but upon arrival, I was very impressed. The area is spacious, the view is beautiful, and in the morning, I could enjoy the scenery and the sea breeze. The swimming pool is large, and the room is spacious. The breakfast selection is average, matching the price, but the taste is quite good. The staff is also friendly. Highly recommended!
