Lovely resort and beach! However, there was no air conditioning on the first floor and it was challenging to get drinking water ? But the service staff were extremely friendly and it was still a good time! Overall a fantastic place to relax ?

Rooms are basic and looks like it was just renovated. Service is good but the system they follow is really bad. For example, to go from Banyu Biru to their activity center which was only about 600m away, you have to ride their buggy shuttle to the Nirwana hotel (about 300m) and then wait for another shuttle to bring you to activity center. This is absurd system! Why can they just bring directly to the drop off points? Also, we paid an expensive Christmas dinner for my family. They issued a voucher and they wouldn't accept unless I have the voucher. Their list already have my name and room number. But they have to get the voucher! What an absurd system!
I do not recommend this place due to bad system being used in the hotel, too expensive for the quality of services and food.

My 4 yrs old almost got killed by their water slider pool.
We visited the resort for the third time, accompanied by family friends, and stayed in their Banyu Biru villa which had a water slide for kids. However, this visit turned into a terrifying experience for my family. To sum it up, the pool area lacked staff presence, had no lifeguards, security, or sunproof shelter. In an effort to shield ourselves from the intense sunlight, we moved our sun chairs under a large tree approximately 15 meters away from the pool.

While my daughter was playing under the water slide in a game of hide and seek with her friend, her leg from the knee downward got caught in the water intake system. She was on the brink of drowning. Due to our distant seating, I only realized the dire situation when my 4-year-old had already ingested a significant amount of water. My son held his sister and called for my help. Despite my immediate intervention, the suction was so strong that I couldn't free her from the intake system. I shouted for assistance, but no one came to aid us. Fortunately, one of the boys nearby managed to locate the switch and deactivate the system, finally releasing my daughter's trapped leg. By that time, her calf was discolored, turning black and purple, with scratches all over her knee area.

Upon addressing the hotel staff, all they offered was some ice, with no medical assistance provided. Regrettably, the management did not treat the incident with the gravity it deserved. Following my return home, I composed an email to them, but their response was unsatisfactory. While they claimed to have implemented measures like placing a mesh cover over the intake and lowering the pipe, their lack of empathy was evident. The hotel's customer care was severely lacking, and the management's response was a major letdown. I would caution other young parents to exercise extreme caution around pool water intakes. It is astonishing that a large hotel can offer such inadequate support in such critical situations.

We stayed in a 4 bedroom Seaview villa and it was really good! The villa was very clean, functional and staff were polite and responsive. I enjoyed the sea breeze, the space, lawn and even the modern 4k TV that I hooked up to my own netflix.

Kitchen was well equipped and with functional appliances and toilets new and renovated.

My only gripe is the there is only 1 pillow per bed and it's the lousy kind, no toothbrush and toothpaste kit and also no body soap. There were also no fresh towels (you have to request but we didnt)

I also found the restaurants incredibly expensive (approx SGD23 for nasi goreng, approx SGD5.5 for a mini can of coke)

That's 1 star gone, the next star is because of the pick up service from the jetty. We were a party of 9 and informed ahead our ferry details etc on emerald class. When we reached ferry terminal they loaded us to the wrong vehicle and made every come down.

Every other family there had mini buses or vans picking them but we were asked to carry everything and walk from emerald class lobby to the main one where we waited a further 30minutes in a hot musky broken down bus (handrails falling off kind) for more passengers, before the bus drove off .

Sadly it seems we were the only ones there in banyu biru and nirwana resort is a shadow of its former glory. Bowling alley closed, no more kids zoo and not much affordable activities.

These are all fixable issues imo and I look forward to coming back should things improve.
