40 Kitchener Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand
We booked a one-bedroom harbor view room and landed ourselves on the 28th floor—prime real estate for some seriously stunning views. We actually stayed here a few years ago, and let’s just say… the hotel’s aged a bit since then. Think “well-loved,” with a few mystery stains and some bumps and bruises on the furniture. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely not like it was. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful, and you really can't beat the location—right in the heart of everything. If you're here for the views and convenience, it's still a solid choice. Just maybe don’t look too closely at the carpet.
Excellent place value for money. Location is perfect if you have business in CBD or Universities nearby. Rooms are spacious and had good views from higher floors. This place is not busy like a typical hotel and have a relaxed feeling. Please is clean and well managed. Perfect for business people and couples looking for unfussy hotel experience. Have stayed here several times and will stay again.
Great location with great rooms. Really good value for money. The pools are closed so cannot comment on them but will be back again for sure!
Stayed for a night - room was very clean and spacious but terribly dated. The website also stated that all One Bedroom room types come with a balcony but seems a little misleading as there isn’t even space to step out. There was a good view of the CBD though, and similarly the location was quite fantastic - super close to CBD and lots of food options around. Just some minor gripes - despite GHA Titanium status, no particular benefits were offered by front desk, unlike some other GHA hotels. Also had issues with the payment as we had redeemed Discovery dollars but it wasn’t reflected in their system. Eventually sorted out, but did not make a good impression! Also the swimming pool was stated incorrectly that it was closed from 4 June. It was in fact closed on 3 June and we were a little disappointed that we didn’t get to utilise it on our stay. Carpark also cost $40 and requires keycard access while entering and exiting. Hence do note that you’ll need to bring your car to the lobby first, before doing your checkout procedures and returning your keycard. Overall, perfect if you’re looking for just a clean and spacious room with a fantastic location!
Excellent stay. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Fully equipped suite. Located close to everything. Highly recommend.
