Stayed here recently and had a great time. Location is perfect, not too far from downtown but quieter. We had a 1 BR suite with water view and in-room laundry, which worked great so we could pack light. The bed was wonderful, firm and provided great support for our backs. Breakfast was buffet style, convenient for when you didn't feel like hunting for food first thing in the morning. Although there were plenty of food places within walking distance, too. Service was great too. Would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Ascott Gurney Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and professional. The check-in process was smooth, and my room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with an amazing city view — exactly what we needed for a relaxing trip. There was a good range to choose from for breakfast and the infinity pool had amazing views and plenty of lounge chairs around with towels on each one which was a nice touch. The gym was also stunning and well-maintained. There’s also a prayer room in the car park should you need it. The hotel’s location was convenient, next to the promenade, plenty of food places and the gurney walk and plaza. Just a cheap grab away to any local attractions. The staff were super accommodating, even preparing breakfast for us to take out on the morning of our flight due to missing the breakfast time which was really appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience and would gladly return - highly recommend.

Exceptional Experience at Ascott Hotel We had an outstanding stay at the Ascott Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional. The hotel’s modern design creates a relaxing atmosphere, and everything was impeccably clean, from the rooms to the gym and toilet facilities. It’s also a great choice for families. The kids loved the swimming area and the playground, which were both safe and well-maintained. What really sets Ascott apart is how much they care about the little things. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, making your stay feel truly special. If you’re looking for comfort, style, and excellent service, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

I am totally satisfied with the recent stay with my family. First to be commended is the consistency of their air conditioning making us feeling very comfortable in every corner of the hotel. Not to miss their breakfast which I find it delicious and with lots of varieties. Room is spacious and clean, and there are restaurants, cafe and 24 hours convenient store annexed to it. The gurney walkway/garden just right opposite the hotel. Staffs are friendly. What else? Highly recommended.

Excellent front office check-in and equally excellent rooms. Spotless and with great views of Gurney Drive, even from the long bath. The one-bedroom executive we stayed in also comes with pots and pans, cutlery especially and utensils. Will definitely make this our home away from home on our return to Penang
