17, Lorong Burma, Pulau Tikus, 10250 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Visited on 30 March 2025. Crowded with locals and tourists. Road was jammed with many cars so we parked nearby and walked across. A nice Thai temple but some people cannot be quiet and talked loudly while in the temple hall.
Lovely place, peaceful surroundings. If u are at penang a must visit spot . Do visit the monks nearby. Try to go by evenings so that the heat will be less. A large buddha reclining position is here. With lots of small buddha statues are also there. Opp to this a burmese buddha temple also there.
It's temple where sleeping budda is. It's very shiney and colorful temple. Once you get in to the building, then the sleeping budda is there. It's big and surrounded by many statue. One of them are also sleeping Lol. Anyway it's nice to visit.
It's been 8 yrs since I last visited. I'm still impressed with the architecture and craftsmanship. Enjoyed looking through every part of the temple. The floor tiles were with lovely lotus flowers design. Walls and columns were beautifully crafted with gold leaf finishes. Very clean, good ventilation and very well maintained. Caretakers were very friendly. The exterior was well landscaped too. I enjoyed the tranquility sitting under the tree.
Beautiful temple with colorful craftsmanship and architecture. It’s very peaceful inside. When we visited, there’re a lot of local and tourist inside and the local was praying and chanting. There’s big reclining Buddha inside and a lot of statues and the local was sticking gold leaves on some of them. Very interesting to see.
