From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions. The facilities were some of the cleanest for a hostel I have stayed in, and I've stayed in many. Everything a traveler could need. I especially appreciated the manager and staff. the top floor is fantastic! Has a great view of the city, a nice area to eat, and all of the cooking utilities you need. I met several interesting people from all over the world. It was a great place to relax, socialize, and get to attractions all over Osaka. 3 min walk to local train stations. I can't wait to come back! ?
We're quite impressed with this hostel. We stayed in a private room with en suite and it was really clean, towels and toiletries were included. Hostel itself is really quiet, tidy and clean. Not what you would generally expect from a hostel, so we were pretty happy. Breakfast was included but it is just coffee, tea and cereals. Only downside was that the room was small and we could not open the window, it was dark all the time so maybe it was at the back of the building. We didn't mind any of the above as we were out most of the day and we used the common areas a lot. I would recommend it to anyone coming to Osaka. For the price and the location, which was also convenient.
Great place to stay! Note that there isn’t a bathroom in each room, but there is a nice shared toilet room on each floor with a bidet. My room had a lovely shower with excellent water pressure and hygiene products. Always clean. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is simple - a selection of cereals, oatmeal, and toast with jam or a chocolate spread. Instant coffee and the most delicious green tea. Rooms are very clean, and great if you are looking for a budget stay in Osaka. Walk to Osaka Engine for amazing ramen! Dotonbori is a $10 cab ride away. 5/5.
I was contemplating writing a review for a few days now. But to be honest my body hurts so much after 3 nights here that I had to. I did my research, I knew that other travelers complained that the mattresses are very thin. But I, in my youthful spirit - come on how bad can it be - it is bad let me tell you. I am currently sleeping in a mixed dorm room with 4 beds. Occupancy-wise not bad I would say - and nothing new. Not only is the mattress so thin (~8cm) that you basically feel the hard wood under you at all times, but also is the bed so short that my feet touch the privacy screen when stretching out. For reference I am ~1,80m & ~70kg. So apparently I am old because my western European body requires a real mattress or at least something where my body is not directly touching the hard floor. Staff is nice and very helpful - kitchen is equipped with cutlery and plates (which is the first time - fourth hostel/dorm). I will now continue with taking pain killers to get through the day.
