This bell weighs 40 tons! You have to climb very steep stair to walk to the top of bell tower, it’s real and authentic place, used to tell time to the local residents for hundreds of years. Lots of couples take wedding photos nearby with this beautiful view behind.

The Bell and Drum Tower are truly majestic and magnificent in person. Their grand architecture and historical significance make them a must-visit for anyone exploring Beijing!

Charming place. Nice to have a taste of ancient traditions in the bell and drum tower. I recommend to visit these two towers while you are in Beijing. I also recommend to go up the towers and enjoy the views of the city around. However, just seeing the drums up in the tower is fascinating itself.

Please note that Google Maps does not work in China. The drum tower is a very impressive building. In this you can listen to a drum play every full hour and watch it above. The ascent is a bit exhausting, as many steps, which are also high, must be ready to overcome. The view from above is very impressive and worthwhile.

Great experience, but your legs may turn into jelly from climbing up. Anyway tickets are available to be bought on site easily.
