Xicheng District, China, 100035
This is a very scenic area of Beijing and worth a visit. Numerous pedicab drivers offer tours of the area in their 3 wheel pedal cycles for a reasonable price. The scenic lakes offer beaut vistas to photograph, and there are numerous restaurants and a shopping district. Perfect for 2 or 3 hours
The most crowded place I ever seen... At Sunday lot of people. But beautiful and lively Many street food boots
Shichahai is absolutely worth a visit! Located on the western side of Gulou, it’s easily accessible via the Beijing Metro. After exiting the station, head west until you reach Qianhai, then turn right and follow the riverbank north. It’s a lively area with plenty to explore—delicious street food, unique souvenirs, and charming old buildings. At night, the atmosphere transforms with numerous pubs offering karaoke and a great spot to unwind. I highly recommend this area for its mix of history, culture, and vibrant nightlife!
It was first built in the Ming Dynasty and is located at the junction of Qianhai and Houhai. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Xishan. Yinding Bridge is a north-south single-hole stone arch bridge, 12 meters long, 7 meters wide, 8 meters high, and 5 meters in span. It has 5 hollow cloud flower railings, 6 green bottle scroll flower lookouts, eight-shaped railings and drum stones at both ends, and swallow-wing walls on both sides of the bridge. It is called Yinding Bridge because it looks like a silver ingot.
