A Cultural Gem You Shouldn’t Miss in Bangkok One of the most visited and iconic sites in Bangkok, this temple complex was a true highlight of my trip and an experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city. It’s not just a tourist attraction it’s a cultural treasure that beautifully reflects Thailand’s spiritual and artistic heritage. Most visitors come to see the breathtaking Reclining Buddha, an impressive 46-meter-long golden statue that radiates serenity and awe. While it’s certainly a must-see, my personal favorite part of the visit was exploring the main courtyard. The vibrant mosaics, peaceful garden corners, and detailed statues create an atmosphere that is both lively and calming. The architecture throughout the complex is absolutely stunning intricate carvings, colorful tilework, and beautifully sculpted structures that make you feel as if you've stepped into another world. There are also informative displays and plaques that provide great insights into Buddhist traditions and the significance of the temple. Helpful Tips: Arrive early to beat the crowds and enjoy a more serene experience. Entrance fee is 300 Baht, and cash only is accepted. It’s conveniently located near the Grand Palace, making it easy to visit both in one day. Whether you're passionate about culture, architecture, or spiritual history, this temple offers a meaningful and visually unforgettable experience.

This complex is simply breathtaking and visit here is a must. Obviously Reclining Buddha is the center point here, but other pagodas, exteriors and ornaments are as amazing! Expect it to be swarming with tourists; even during the Royal Dynasty holiday it was full and the lines were super long! However, it is absolutely worth waiting.

This place is just amazing, there is a small cost to enter but it is definitely worth every baht. Famous for having the reclining Buddha, it does have so many more other beautiful things there as well. This place is huge in size, and put aside minimum one hour but I would suggest to give yourself a lot more so you can see everything. Do wear easy to takeoff shoes, because you are not allowed to wear them when looking inside the temples. Do look at the walls as there are beautiful paintings on them depicting all types of Thai culture. There is food and drink venues on site if you get hungry or thirsty. We also found it easy to find a car park in the area that was close to the venue if you are driving. This really is a must do if you are visiting Bangkok.

Absolutely stunning temple! Please be mindful of the dress code (no sleeveless tops, no skirts above knee length, no shorts) - but there are sarongs that you can borrow at the ticket booth. Entrance is THB 300 (cash only). I visited on Saturday afternoon and while it was busy, I wouldn't say it was super crowded. Take your time to explore the temple grounds, there's so much to see!

There is a reason this is one of the most famous temples in Thailand. It really is that beautiful. It was 400TBH to enter but it is definitely worth it. I could have walked around Wat Pho for hours on end. Remember to dress with your shoulders covered and knees covered and also avoid mid drift. They do have some scarfs for if you are not properly dressed. There are some small venders close to the exit but everything is very over priced. I recommend going to local shops or night markets, or even the mall instead for your souvenirs.
