St Marys Rd, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
Enchanting and awe-inspiring! I was absolutely captivated by the magnificent architecture and intricate artwork. Visiting during the Christmas season added a special charm — nativity displays adorned both the interior and exterior of the cathedral. The cathedral itself is a serene and sacred space — perfect for quiet reflection, prayer, attending services, or celebrating joyful moments like weddings. For convenience, there are paid parking garages nearby. Since our hotel was close, we enjoyed a pleasant walk to the cathedral. During Christmas, the area outside the cathedral comes alive with food stalls and twinkling festive lights. I highly recommend a visit!
St. Mary’s Cathedral has always been my choice, and for good reason. Every visit fills me with a deep sense of peace and spiritual connection. The architecture is breathtaking—majestic yet inviting—and it creates the perfect setting for quiet reflection or meaningful prayer. It’s also very accessible and conveniently close to my place, which makes it easy for me to attend regularly. One of the things I love most is the choral mass, which I always make time for. The music is truly moving and adds a deeply spiritual dimension to the service. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the community is warm and respectful. St. Mary’s is more than just a beautiful church—it’s a place that consistently nurtures my faith and uplifts my spirit.
This is one super elegant and beautiful church. The exterior is real grand, and internal is full of Christianity history. Great place to pray and get yourself settled down again in life.
Simply breathtaking! A great example of Gothic Revival architecture in the heart of Sydney! The intricate stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings are truly mesmerizing. A peaceful sanctuary amidst the city’s hustle—perfect for reflection or simply appreciating its historical beauty! A must-visit spot in Sydney!
I haven’t been inside Saint Mary’s Cathedral, but I pass by it often enough to appreciate its presence. It’s a striking building, standing tall and proud right in the heart of the city. The Gothic architecture is impressive, with those spires and detailed stonework catching the eye every time. Even just from outside, it feels like a quiet reminder of history and tradition amid the busy city streets. It’s one of those landmarks you don’t need to enter to respect. Just walking past, it adds a bit of calm and a connection to Sydney’s past.
