Beautiful view of Manigala, easy to access the hike. Glamping style room, with large single beds. Room has 4 beds and pricing is per person. Prices are all for half board. Very reasonably priced for the location. Perfect sunrise in the morning comes up from behind the rock. We spent one night here and the hosts were kind. The two men prepared a really good dinner and breakfast. Very tasty and SL style food. The one improvement I'd recommend is adding a sink outside the shared bathroom to make handwashing easier after using the toilet. There are three units and they share two bathrooms. We would stay here again!

This is an ideal spot for backpackers in Riverston, Matale, Sri Lanka. Currently, they offer three cabanas with stunning views of Manigala. Each cabana is spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-ventilated, though air conditioning is not provided. Each cabana accommodates 4 to 8 people, with 4 separate washrooms located nearby. The property is just a 300-meter walk from Basecamp to Theligamuwa Oya, where you can enjoy natural river pools. Meals are delicious and flexible, featuring mostly authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. There is an open and shaded dining area, making it a great base for exploring Riverston.

The base camp was like no other! One of the best campsites I’ve been to! Accommodation was very comfortable but most of all, the views are out of this world! The team at Riverston Basecamp is really helpful with whatever you need done! And the Hike to Manigala from the campsite is breathtaking!

Had an unforgettable visit to the Riverston Basecamp. Expansive mountain views from the cabanas emanating a sense of peace and tranquility. Great for someone looking to drop the pace and just slow down. Good, attentive service by the caretaker Nishantha.

On 17.01.2025 we accommodated 04 adults and a 6-month-old baby and experienced a very rare quality service. place is a very clean, as well as the maintenance work, the food was prepared very deliciously. The employees are very friendly and polite. Telgamu Oya flows 10 minutes away from this place, where you can bathe in very clean water. safe parking facilities are available. Thank You Base CAMP!
