Absolutely stunning and beautiful! Quite interesting to see the influence of Hindu religion in the Balinese culture. The intricate engravements on the walls are really impressive. It was a quiet day when we visited it so we enjoyed the tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Moreover, we were able to grab some nice photos and videos. There is a mandatory Rp.50k donation, which gives you a sarong plus the headband for men. It is also a maintenance fee for the temple. I would recommend visiting it during a weekday so it does not get packed with tourists. There weren't any locals that I saw when we were there. It was almost empty with less than 15 tourists including us.

Very interesting temple. Before entering we were given sarongs which we had to put on. You can take pictures in them later. Picturesque place. Full of nice parts that you can take photos at.

I think visiting this temple with a knowledgeable guide enhances your experience. My initial reservation about visiting quickly dissipated as my guide discussed the temple's rich history and present-day use. You can feel the thousand years (+) of history; only if the stones and carved images could speak! Sarongs are provided for free, along with assistance to put on and remove.

Filipino Review ??⛩️ Batuan Temple – A Beautiful Balinese Heritage Site Batuan Temple is a well-preserved, traditional Balinese temple that showcases stunning architecture and intricate stone carvings ?️✨. It’s less crowded than other famous temples, making it a peaceful spot to explore and appreciate Bali’s culture. Visitors are required to wear a sarong, which is provided at the entrance. The temple is well-maintained, and the details on the gates and shrines are impressive. Unlike some other touristy temples, there’s no pushy selling, making the experience more relaxed. A small donation is required upon entry ?, but it’s affordable. There’s not much walking involved, making it an easy visit for all ages. Overall, Batuan Temple is a great place to experience Bali’s spiritual and artistic heritage without the heavy crowds. A quick but worthwhile stop!

Such a gem. It’s really breathtaking and not that busy. Keep an eye out for the beautiful paintings in the place were you get the tickets. It’s hand made and tells you a story. We talked to the women who’s dad painted it. The place itself is also really beautiful to see. Worth the visit.
