The penguin feeding was enchanting, great commentary and cute penguins full of character. Snorkelling pretty good, fair amount to see. Seemed like a lot of walking trails but we didn’t do that. Short easy ferry trip. Not many facilities there so take own food/drink.
Advise from WA state government Parks & Wildlife Services "Do not walk or wade across the sandbar to Penguin Island." You can if you really want to, just go early when the tide is low, and then wait again until the tide is low again later in the day. We recommend you use the ferry.
So cool. Walk or paddleboard across to the island. Amazing experience.
Not too visible, although you shouldn't cross it due to high tides.
