他 Okazaki Saishojicho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-8342, Japan
a quiet shrine complex is located within the park with a beautiful garden located inside. for some reason it seems like tourists don't come to these areas really, so if you're looking for a nice place to relax but still enjoy the traditional architecture of kyoto i'd recommend it. they also had this super retro coin making machine where you can imprint a personal message + the date you visited within the shrine. it was really cute and a great way to remember the trip
Lovely walk with cherry blossoms and near local shrine and gardens. A lot less crowded and more accessible (1-2 stops past central Gion district) than the famed Philosophers Path.
So many beautiful spot to take a picture with cherry blossoms.. ?
Just walked here randomly and it was fun. There was a car meeting and i seen nice stuff !
I visited around a dozen parks during my trip to Japan, most of which were very highly rated and grandiose. Then I just happen to find this gem because it's situated next to a semi-famous tourist attraction which I wanted to check out. Ended up loving the park more than the attractions around it. I loved it! A perfect mix of local and touristy and not too big. I could see myself hang out here with friends all the time if I were to come to study in Kyoto.
