The museum is a bit far from the center of Xian however it’s worth it. We visited in October and it was not crowded , it had some people but it was nice to walk around the museum. We rented the audio tour and it was fine. It was a bit difficult to know which number the pavilion was however you can figure it out. The big pavilion which you see the big statues is amazing . We also bought two statues that was made from the grounds , it is a nice souvenir. It was difficult to find the place to leave the audio guide and nobody speaks English. You have many many restaurantes after leaving the museum.
100% worth the trip, it’s a miracle of human ingenuity from the past that is a once in a lifetime visit for most. I can’t recommend it enough. The scale is incredible. Try to find a guide in your own language, will really benefit from their experience. We found one while waiting around outside and she was great!
An absolutely awe-inspiring experience! Visiting the Terracotta Army Museum truly feels like stepping back in time. The sheer scale of the site is impressive, but what really stands out is the intricate detail in each statue—no two warriors look the same. You can see the craftsmanship in their facial expressions, armor, and even the hairstyles, which makes it feel incredibly lifelike. It’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that these statues were created over 2,000 years ago. The historical weight of the site, combined with the quiet sense of mystery, makes it one of the most unforgettable places I’ve ever visited. A must-see for anyone coming to Xi’an—you can’t help but be amazed.
How it great! Must come 1 time in your live!
A must visited landmark in Xi’An! While it is super crowded, it is definitely worthwhile.
