Beautiful beach. Nice small hike up to a lighthouse and viewpoint areas. Has a long nature hike and waterfall, be careful of monkeys and other wildlife, there was monkeys at the start of the trail on the sign. Has coffee, drinks, and some food for sale. Road is a fun ride on a scooter. After the ticket booth be careful the road is VERY STEEP, GO SLOW. Plenty of parking.

Nature Hike, amazing wildlife, stunning views, a beach, a lighthouse and visitors centre ????? Really good few hours spent here. it's 200฿ per person and it was 20฿ for the motorbike. The road down the island to the park is stunning, but be careful as there's a lot of potholes and blind bends. The ticket booth is about 500m before the park and it's a long steep road down to the park so make sure your brakes are good. There are plenty of signs that are really well maintained. A decent sized carpark, visitors centre, souvenir shop, cafe, toilets and plenty of space to have a picnic. We did the trail first as it was already 32°C at 10am, starting at the carpark where there's a big sign and some steps, TAKE WATER it's a 2.2km horseshoe trail. If you take snacks make sure they're in a backpack, out of sight, the monkeys will try to steal them, even out of a plastic bag. The canopy keeps the sun off you for most of the trail. The trail is a very well maintained mix of steps, rough soil, tree roots and for a large part (despite how high and remote it is) is a paved path. There's rope to help with the really steep parts. We saw so many people in flip flops struggling with the steep and often uneven path, so wear trainers or pumps. Hiking boots aren't necessary. We saw monkeys, hornbills, lizards, all sorts of birds, bugs and the most amazing HUGE trees and all along the vines twist and tangle around the forest. Going clockwise means you end on the beach and just before you emerge from the jungle to the most amazing vista. The beach is quite rocky so be careful in the water, but it's crystal clear and of course warm. The walk up to the lighthouse is a scramble with a fair amount of shale, be careful. Once you're up there though it's breathtaking! The lighthouse is derelict now but you can take photos of the inside up. If you have little ones keep hold of them, there are no barriers and the cliff edge is high and falls onto the rocks below. Well worth the entrance fee and a great day out.

As mentioned in other reviews, insist on a ticket to give free access at the waterfall ( on the same day) to save 200 baht pp. You have to ask for the receipt so please do. We found this an exquisite walk and you can either just take the short walk along the beach to the other side where there is a designated swimming area and a lifeguard on duty. We did the hike first which was special with mice sighting of the resident monkeys but also the amazing flora ( with info signs in English). Tough climb to start with on unpaved walkway but it levels out. Shoes and mosquito spray were helpful on the hike .

We visited Mu Ko Lanta National Park around 5 PM and got to see the lighthouse and the beach – such a beautiful location with amazing views. We spontaneously decided to do the 1-hour hiking trail that loops through the upper part of the park. It was quite exhausting with lots of stairs, but the path felt very jungle-like and adventurous! The trail was tropical, with signs explaining different plants and trees along the way, which was super interesting. We also saw lots of monkeys – they were friendly and didn’t bother anyone. A great mix of nature, views, and a bit of adventure. Definitely worth the visit!

Challenging hike and rewarding nature ? - Entrance Best to arrive by scooter and enjoy to road that leads down to the national park ?️ the fee is 200 Baht + 30 Baht for parking the scooter - Fee With your ticket you can stay all day at the beach or drive around and come back again the same day (it’s basically a day-ticket) you can also visit the waterfall with it and the cave ! (For the Tham Khao Mai Khew cave you need to be there latest at 3pm as they need to have enough people) Cave only is 300 Baht if you can’t make it on the same day (see cave review) - Facilities There are clean toilets, a restaurant and a small souvenir shop + information centre - Hike | T3 There is a map explaining everything you need to know for this small 1h hike. The track starts with a rough and slippery climb, paved bits and leads down to the beautiful beach - Prep It is essential to wear good shoes or best hiking shoes! The track is slippery and can be dangerous. Bring water and Moskito spray. There are emergency contact signs - Wildlife and dangers You’ll see beautiful butterflies, big monitor lizards, hornbills, monkeys and maybe snakes ? Enjoy ☺️
