Beautiful cave, bigger than anticipated. Make your life easier and wear trainers instead of flip-flops, there are ladders and bamboo bridges to cross inside cave. You will see bats, big spiders and crickets. Guide will provide you with headlamp. It takes about 20-25 minutes hiking through the jungle to get to the cave entrance and approximately 1 hour inside the cave.
This cave is crazy and actually serious business. We saw all kinds of animals with the guide including a super venomous snake, huge spiders, even a scorpion in the caves plus the bats. We would have never even noticed it without the guide. Even if it is a little overpriced at 200-300b per person. It’s not super clear how to get to the cave either. It looks like there may be two paths that wind up in that direction. Just know you can always follow the river up. Some people just walked the river the whole way up. After the cave the guide leaves and you are on your own to explore the waterfall. I recommend not going later near sunset because you wouldn’t want to be in there when all the creatures wake up!! They were sleeping at least in the day. I couldn’t believe how much was lurking in there without us realizing. But it’s not super touristy at least. It really truly is an adventure
We had the best cave experience ever! Our guide Ton was such an amazing person. He told us so much information about the cave, he was very funny and friendly. The cave has its own charm and life. For some people it can get scary, we were a bit scared as well but it's natural part of the cave exploring. We saw maybe 5-6 spiders (according to Ton there are not that many to see usually). They're not harmful and don't jump so you don't need to be scared of them. They mind their own business :) I recommend this tour to everyone, you cannot miss it while staying at Koh Lanta! :)
Challenging cave tour ! Tranquil wildlife - Entrance The fee is 300 Baht and no parking fee is needed - Fee If you visited the National Park the Cave is included in your ticket (arrive latest by 3:30 pm as they need a proper group to start the cave tour - earlier the better) - best do cave first then national park. Keep the ticket - Guide You need a guide for this small expedition. He knows the area and cave and will keep you save - Exploration | T4 You’ll hike 30 min to the cave. There are very steep slippery parts and you’ll encounter dangerous spiked trees and plants. Once the cave entrance is reached you’ll enter going down a very slippery wooden ladder. It’ll stay slippery for 1 hour inside the cave. There is a section were you have to squeeze through a muddy tunnel to get to the other side (not for the faint of heart). Walking back is the same way you came 30 min. Total ~2 hours - Prep The guide will provide a headlamp included in the price (it’s like a spotlight so best bring your own). Wear hiking boots. Moskito spray and bring water. Your clothes will be covered in mud - Wildlife and crawlers The area is rich of wildlife and you might see snakes, birds, flying lemurs and other creatures. Inside the cave you’ll have bats, huge spiders, scorpios, cave crickets and other creatures Enjoy ?
This was an intense cave tour. We hadn’t expected it to be like this beforehand. It’s definitely worth it, but incredibly thrilling and challenging. You climb through the cave over slippery steps and rocks. Some passages are so narrow that you have to crawl through them on your stomach. We saw several spiders and bats. The cave itself is incredibly beautiful and feels like an untouched piece of nature. The guide is skilled and supportive. I would recommend it, but good physical condition is required, and be prepared for a tough journey.
