It was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, guiding us through each step of the ceremony with patience and deep respect for the tradition. Their explanations were clear and engaging, allowing us to fully appreciate the cultural significance of every movement and ritual. The atmosphere was serene and intimate, making it easy to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the moment. The tea itself was exquisite, prepared with such precision and care. It wasn’t just about drinking tea—it was about mindfulness, harmony, and a deep appreciation for Japanese culture. This experience was one of the highlights of my time in Kyoto, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Whether you’re familiar with the tea ceremony or a complete beginner, you’ll leave with a newfound respect for this beautiful tradition. Definitely a must-do!

We got a combo experience for the tea ceremony that comes with the samurai experience. It was a very relaxing and calming experience. It was also really fun to dress up in the traditional outfits for a great photo op in their outdoor garden area. The staff were extremely helpful and kind during the whole process.

Participating in the tea ceremony was one of the most beautiful and meaningful experiences I’ve had. From the moment I walked in, I felt transported—dressed in a traditional kimono and guided with care and respect through every step of this centuries-old ritual. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to preserving Japanese culture. Every detail, from the serene setting to the graceful preparation of the tea, felt purposeful and profound. It wasn’t just a ceremony—it was a moment of peace, reflection, and connection. Mayumi did an excellent job leading us through the ceremony and making us comfortable. If you’re in Kyoto and looking for an experience that’s truly authentic and emotionally resonant, don’t miss this. It’s not just something to check off a list—it’s something you’ll carry with you long after your trip is over.

A true highlight of our Japan trip! We booked the first time slot at 9 AM, which we highly recommend – it was so peaceful and quiet, making the experience even more special. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We women got to choose a kimono and had our hair beautifully styled, while the men also wore traditional kimonos. The tea ceremony itself was lovely and very well explained by the host. They took photos throughout, which was a great bonus. Afterwards, we could keep wearing the kimonos all day until 6 PM – such a unique way to enjoy the rest of the day. A beautiful, serene, and truly cultural experience. Highly recommended!

10/10 experience! The ladies helping you get dressed in the kimono were friendly, but busy as they had an endless stream of people to dress and undress. The host of the tea ceremony was very friendly and funny during our ceremony. She was very knowledgeable about the ceremony's history! The atmosphere is wonderful all around and you have plenty of time to take pictures in the kimono and in their garden area!
