It is a quality restaurant floating on the river! We experienced real Japanese hospitality (omotenashi) here. The staff were very friendly and caring. Theybserved generous amount of quality Japanese food with various drinks. One could view cherry blossom along the river. A superb atmosphere and ambiance.
We had the best time here. The tempura was really good. The waiter explained the night view to us. Along the way they came to take our picture. Lovely service, definitely take my friends.
Food was okay (cold appetizers weren't our favorite but the tempura was delicious) - didn't wow us but it was more about the experience which was wonderful. The boat stops at some spots to let people come up to the top. Beautiful way to see the city at night.
My father and brother were visiting, so decided to have quality time together. It was my first time (my father second time, ) on the house boat. Blown away from the experience! The boat ride it self is fun, the food was great (the tempuras were fried individually so they were nice and hot,) and most of all, the staff on the boat were soo friendly! Some of them even spoke some English too. We were lucky to have cherry blossoms around us, which made the experience extra memorable. I’d recommend Harumiya if in Tokyo, and especially during the cherry blossom season (March to April.)
The Japanese cuisine was very delicious, and drinks (including alcoholic beverages) were offered with unlimited refills. During the cruise, there were two stops where passengers could go up to the upper deck to enjoy the stunning views of the Rainbow Bridge in Odaiba and the Tokyo Skytree. The staff were very warm and friendly. However, it was a bit unfortunate that all the announcements and interactions with guests were conducted only in Japanese, making it harder for non-Japanese-speaking visitors to fully enjoy the atmosphere.
