You won’t be disappointed if you are an Ando’s fan. The architecture itself is worth the trip and the ticket is only ¥100. You will see a lot of Ando’s signature design elements such as concrete walls, water and lighting.
Visited this on a lovely sunday morning, there were few visitors at the time which made a nice quiet walk to enjoy the architecture ☺️ It was so beautiful. It was only 100 yen per entry, I would definitely recommend making a trip here, the architectural details were stunning.
The cost is 200 yen. It has a the copies of great works. And they are so beautiful. They have waterfalls around which drowns out the city noises and gives a very relaxing atmosphere. I was there for a good while to enjoy the material. This is outdoor so most parts do not have a cover so if it rains you should bring an umbrella. It technically is three floors. The architecture is beautiful and simple. A lot of picture opportunities
It was just next to the exit of the Kitayama metro station. Reasonable entrance fee. Went there to see Tadao Ando's design. A rather surreal display of famous art / paintings as it was all displayed outdoors, with Monet's water lilies under water. Definitely a different experience. While we were there, a group of veterans were playing music.
A must-visit if you are passionate about architecture. An immersive experience, where the visual aspect is coupled with the sound of water and a peculiar smell. Definitely made me even more curious to learn about Tadao Ando’s works
