Awe inspiring. Simply amazing. So glad we went and visited. And the climb to the dome was so cool. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If you don’t mind climbing several hundred stairs, the view from the top is incredible. Only 8 euros for that, definitely a must do.

A beautiful church that unfortunately, due to its popularity, made it difficult to navigate through with the vast crowds. We did try to find a pocket of serenity but it is advised to go early and avoid high season or peak times. Once inside, it was beautifully observed and quiet, the architecture was fascinating and captivating. There are great views of the Parisian skyline and great for a photo opportunity outside.

Unbelievable experience, beautiful place once of the best views of Paris. Go here rather than Notre Dame if you can only do one… wonderful place free to get in - wear respectful attire… queue goes down pretty quick even if it looks long. Surrounding area is amazing

Perched high above Paris, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica is more than just a beautiful church it’s a window to the entire city. The climb up through Montmartre is part of the experience, winding through charming streets and artistic corners until you reach the top. And then… the view takes your breath away. From the steps of the basilica, Paris unfolds before your eyes the Eiffel Tower in the distance, the rooftops stretching endlessly, and the soft golden light that seems to hug the whole city. It’s a moment of stillness and wonder, even with the crowds around you. The church itself is stunning, inside and out, but for me, the real magic was outside standing above the noise and movement of the city, seeing it all at once. It felt peaceful, powerful, and unforgettable. If you’re in Paris, don’t miss this spot. Whether you go for the architecture, the history, or just to see the city from above it’s absolutely worth it.

What a beautiful location. This architecture is beautiful inside and out as well as the beautiful stone streets and walkways around it. Great spot to look over the city! It be is free to enter. Lots of steps to climb for free access or $14 for two people to take the little tram up and down instead of climbing all the stairs to the location. Go early before 9am to avoid the big crowds.
