If you want to stay in Dis 5 to explore the Chinatown, this hotel is good. The room is modern with all modern / biz amenities. The bed and pillows are fantastic - the bed is firm and the pillows full, not the stupid wimpy flat goose feather pillows found in many up market hotels. The room and toilet are clean and well maintained. Room is not big though but comfortable. Breakfast is very decent.

Overall, I’d stay here again. Pros: Great location, also right next to 7/11. Breakfast food was pretty good and mostly clean. The drinks at breakfast were fantastic. I also loved the fresh fruit. Rooms were decent, especially for the price. Best security guards in the front. They were super helpful and even cleaned up on their downtime. Cons: They do try to nickel and dime you. They charged me 200K for not returning one of the room keys. I’ve never gotten charged for a room key before. They didn’t mention that at check in but apparently there’s a sign up front that says it that I didn’t see. Also, the second floor is listed as a work space on the elevator signage but when I went up there to work on my laptop, they told me it was a dining area and I had to buy food or drinks to sit there. I did find a hair in the soy rice they served at breakfast. The gym was tiny and the AC didn’t work. It was super hot in there.

Throughout my stay, I experienced excellent service, and I appreciated the genuine hospitality shown by everyone at the hotel. Overall, my experience at Zazz Urban Hotel was very good, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
