I often visit the Wentworth Hotel for casual business meetings or catching up with friends. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, making it a good spot for a chat. The food is decent, though nothing outstanding. The bar could improve on service, as it can be a bit inconsistent. Overall, it’s a solid venue for a laid-back gathering, but there’s room for improvement.

Spoke to both managers about setting up a baptism lunch for my nephew last weekend. When I originally called the manager, he said it was fine to do.

The Week of the event, I was told from the manager that due to a late send in for menu we couldn't do the 3-course menu. I said that was fine, however I didn't hear from him for 3 days.

No run through sheet or communication was sent from there team about what WE needed from them, and no one asked what time everything needed to be ready. I came at 11:45am for a 12:00pm start and the tables were laid out, dirty, not wiped and no cutlery or plates. Ordered the food which was delicious but the only saving grace and I had to tell their staff to bring out plates, cutlery, cups for entrees.

Then when it came to mains, the waiters kept getting confused and we had to help them do their job. Didn't place the food Infront of the people with their meals, just put them on the table for us to distribute ourselves.

Had to tell them again to clean the tables for dessert and when discussed with the manager, the agreement was they were going to cut the cake as we paid the FEE. we had to cut our own cake and give it out.

Horrible training for waiters by management, I shouldn't have to teach them how to do their own job and what's worse is, they didn't prioritize service for our event, if I didn't tell the staff what to do, they wouldn't have come out to help us. I'm so frustrated with how we were treated. they cared more about the people inside then our event. The food was amazing though, really enjoyed the food.

I really hope management read this and do better, the staff can only do as good as the people that train them.

Rooms were just enough to let you sleep through the night if you dont mind traffic sounds. Wifi did not work while we were there. Bathrooms were dirty and mushrooms growing in the womens bathroom. About what you expect for the price. If you really need a room for cheap its fine.

For a budget this is budget. Most the reviews reflect the food (which was great as far as pub food goes) but in regards to accommodation not so much. Don’t book in summer as they have no air conditioning in the rooms and you cannot open any windows. Regarding the rooms they are what you pay for which is a small room about a metre and a bit wider than the double bed in them. The food was good the stay was far from ideal.

Recently stayed at Wentworth hotel for just one night as I was attending a concert close by, initially upon arrival the pub/restaurant gave a great first impression, clean and modern.

Checked in and unfortunately the state of the rooms weren’t amazing, mould/water leaking from mini fridge in room, the shared bathroom experience was dismal, dirty toilets and shower area.

Ate at the restaurant, probably a bit expensive for what you receive
