195 Daikokucho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8161, Japan
the rooms were beautiful but for people who have a lot of luggage, it is quite small. the tatami floors and decorations are lovely though ! and the bathroom is nice too ? on the other hand, we paid 800¥ for an “accommodation tax fee” and did all the check in procedures ourselves. the location of the hotel was very nice though, and surrounded by a lot of kombinis and restaurants if you want to get a quick bite ☺️
I stayed with my teenage daughter at this hotel for five nights and highly recommend it. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect. It's only steps away from the Gojo subway station and a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station (or a two-minute subway ride). The staff is very pleasant at both the hotel and the adjoining restaurant that serves a tasty breakfast buffet. The rooms aren't huge, but we felt we had all the space we needed. A great experience!
Nice hotel, very automatized, green, cleaned and efficient as far as check-in, check-out and luggage storage ate concerned. Very small room (as everywhere in Japan), but well organized with comfortable beds, a fridge and sufficient space for the luggage (closed). Hi tech toilet and a reasonably large shower complete the room. Very close to metro and bus, it has been an ideal base to explore Kyoto.
There is an ongoing construction next door until 2027 summer. It’s noisy during the day. The room is fine but the humidifier was super dusty. Bigger space than APA hotels!
