I stayed at Urbanz Accommodation in Christchurch for one night in a single room with a shared bathroom. The bathrooms were clean and modern, offering excellent value for money. The room was also in great condition. However, I was dissatisfied with the check-in process. Although check-in starts at 2 PM, I arrived at 1:30 PM, clearly exhausted, and it was evident that my room was ready. Nevertheless, the receptionist made me wait until exactly 2 PM. By that time, a long queue had formed, causing many guests to wait unnecessarily. The process could be improved by allowing early check-in when rooms are available, enhancing the overall guest experience.

Stayed for one night in a private double room with shared bathroom. Rooms are clean, comfy, supplied with towels, locker and a television. Everything was as expected. Showers are clean and up to date, bathrooms are generally good but one of the toilets in the shared bathroom needed serious clogging. Otherwise, our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. Location was conveniently located downtown. There's tons of games, common space, and kitchen area to make use of. The staff was incredibly helpful and informative. Would definitely stay again.

I was on my trip and had stayed for 4 night here. The 4 person dorm is clean and welcoming, spacious enough, provided you arent bring huge luggage. The location is great, located at city centre with parking area at the side (paid parking), walking distance to bus stops, restaurants, bars etc, not to say that you can board the famous tram just at the side of the terrace. The service is so nice, all of them are helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you do want a good rest and meet new friends!!

TL;DR: amazing location and value, kitchen and laundry rock, exceptional staff. You should stay here. This has become my go-to place to stay in Christchurch. Here’s why: Unbeatable location right in the city center. Affordable parking available right next door. Staff are without exception lovely and eager to help. Incredible kitchen - one of the best I’ve seen in a hostel. Multiple ovens and pretty much every appliance you can think of. Clean showers and toilets. Laundry service is an amazing deal! $10 gets your clothes washed and dried and returned to your room in under 4 hours! I asked them to please not dry certain items and sure enough, they left those items for me to air dry. Great value. Private rooms for as low as $89. You won’t find better than that! My partner also stayed in a dorm once when he was here and said it was also very comfortable and good value. Highly recommend!
