We visited Japan in October 2024 and had the opportunity to stay at Travelodge while in Kyoto. Among all the three star hotels during our trip, this was the best. Our twin bedroom was spacious, with a really great bathroom. The breakfast, which was included in our stay, was fantastic. From their salads and soups to the sweet bread, everything was delicious. That peach-colored salad dressing is a must-try—I don’t know what it was called, but finding out would be totally worth it.
We had to stay in here for 2 nights. Bed was comfortable, spacious room to open 2 luggages. Bathroom is small but nice. A bit noisy at night because our room is facing the main road. Location is superr great! Near train station, alot of shopping centre, konbinis, etc. The receptions also speaks bahasa which we love it!
Great budget hotel in my experience. Staff was nice and helpful. Check in was quick. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is on a main shopping street close to shops and markets. So great location for sight seeing! As other people have mentioned before - the window insulation is not great and allows all the noise to come into the room quite easily so it can be a bit noisy unfortunately when you want to rest.
