Just had a really great experience at St. Regis KL that I felt I had to share. I came in not feeling my best, stomach wasn’t right and I had a meeting to attend, so you can imagine I wasn’t exactly in the mood for anything fancy. But the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Deva, who instantly made me feel at ease. He seated me comfortably while I waited for my guest, and when he handed me the menu, I asked if they had ginger tea even though I knew it might not be on the list. Without hesitation, he smiled and said, “It’s not on the menu, sir, but I’ll definitely do it for you.” I was honestly a little stunned, such a simple gesture, but it meant a lot. That ginger tea came out shortly after, and I kid you not, it made a world of difference. I started feeling a bit better and even got some appetite back. I asked if they had something light, something like congee. Twenty minutes later, out came a warm, comforting bowl of congee with beautifully presented condiments and it was delicious. Having worked at the St. Regis in Singapore before, I know what top-tier service looks like, but Deva really went above and beyond. Huge shoutout to him, his team, and the leadership behind the scenes. That kind of thoughtful, personalized service is what truly sets a place apart. Well done, St. Regis KL!
Brew-tiful Ambiance, But Room for Improvement St. Regis is just a 10-minute walk from my office, and I’ve always loved stopping by The Drawing Room—the ambiance is truly first-class. After a long day at work, heading out for coffee with a colleague is one of those small comforts that makes the day feel complete. On this visit, we ordered three types of coffee: a black coffee and a coffee with almond milk as well as an iced mocha—perfect for the warm weather. Unfortunately, the one with almond milk had a slightly stale aftertaste. The staff were kind enough to replace it with soy milk, but the odd taste persisted. We spoke to the waiter, who mentioned that it might be due to the brand of milk used, which they couldn’t disclose. As regular coffee drinkers, we could tell something was off. For a coffee priced at RM30, we expected a much better experience—something that stands out from your average takeaway coffee. The butter cookies served on the side were disappointingly small almost to the point where they might as well not include them at all. It likely wouldn’t cost much to offer a standard-sized portion, especially considering the premium pricing and setting. On a brighter note, the iced mocha was the star of the visit. It had a perfectly balanced flavor and was truly enjoyable. We also ordered the cheese sandwich as a snack. Unfortunately, its presentation and taste didn’t quite match the luxurious setting of a six-star coffee house. It wasn’t about expecting extravagant cuisine, but we hoped for food that at least matched the ambiance, price point, and, most importantly, the prestigious St. Regis brand. Despite the hiccups, we’ll still return to The Drawing Room and hope to see some improvements, particularly in the quality of alternative milks and snack options. The ambiance and service are lovely, it just needs a bit more polish to fully reflect the excellence associated with St. Regis.
The marbles and decorations make the hotel look opulent with strong British influences. The services are superb. The breakfast items change quite a bit each day. There are 2 swim pools and a well equipped gym. Convenient location nearby the subway and mall.
I had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis KL — the hospitality was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of the team was warm and attentive, with a special mention to Amanda at the concierge, who generously walked me to my destination so I wouldn’t get lost — a truly thoughtful gesture. The Brasserie staff were equally gracious, even offering to prepare a dish that wasn’t on the menu. My room was immaculate, with lovely evening touches like complimentary snacks, chocolates, and a personal check-in call. If I had one suggestion, it would be to consider more eco-friendly options in the bathroom, such as refillable dispensers instead of single-use bottles. Overall, an outstanding experience — I’ll definitely be returning!
