This is a five star hotel for business — that you have to wait in line to use the iron board. It’s surreal. It should be in the room — every room — already as we all need to look sharp and dress sharp.

Other than that, the room is great and the view is fantastic.

No accommodation for children. We checked in being told that there is a crib or bed blockers for our infant. Upon arrival we were told there is nothing available and we can use extra pillows instead. Now we are left sleeping on the floor watching our infant at a “5 star hotel”. It’s clear they do not know how do accommodate for families.

I had the pleasure of attending the “Unknown by The Art Fair” held at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul from March 21 to 23, 2025. The event took place on the 11th and 12th floors of the hotel, offering an elegant and intimate setting for art appreciation.

With 68 galleries participating and showcasing the works of over 500 artists, the fair presented a diverse and vibrant collection of more than 3,000 artworks. From emerging talents to more established names, the range of styles and mediums on display was truly impressive. Each gallery space was thoughtfully curated, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the stories and concepts behind the works.

As a VIP guest, I had the opportunity to enjoy the art in a relaxed and spacious atmosphere. It was a great chance to discover fresh perspectives and connect with the current pulse of the contemporary art scene in Korea and beyond.

Overall, “Unknown by The Art Fair” was a refreshing and inspiring experience that blended creativity, professionalism, and elegance in perfect harmony. I look forward to seeing how this platform continues to evolve in the coming years.

Nothing around except one duty free mall.
Hard to walk up & down hill.

Reception was nice and professional BUT food and beverage service are super poor.
Not only hard to find the food & beverage outside, but have You also to queue for long time for service to be ready even seatings are plenty available at lobby bar.

Japanese Restaurant does not know Japanese food serve course by course, bringing everything to dump on the table while the previous course was not finished. They rush to clear all the guests out.
Every white wine served at cellar temperature not chill to cold enough to serve at serving temperature and they seemed not being aware of the right way to serve white wine. The request of wine chilling for cooler took 2-3 course serving and came back with not much different temperature.

Food and beverage prices especially wine are much more expensive than other 5 star hotels without superior selection.

Swimming pool is super packed as bad managed fun park. It looks very bad to view it. Also not much nice view to look around even stayed on 19 floor.

I decided to cancel the 2nd call at this place.

- Everything in the rooms feel like they are from the 90s
- Not much amenities
- Getting into the hotel sometimes takes forever because of all the tour buses visiting the Shilla duty free stores
