My love affair with this hotel brand started at the London Edition in 2023 ? the Shanghai Edition room is more spacious, accompanying by the cloud like bed, dazzling view of the Bund, and gorgeous interior that is both timeless and cutting edge - a place where I imagine James Bond would have stayed. The service is incredible (as with Shanghai’s hospitality)! Really recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Edition Hotel Shanghai! The highlight was definitely the stunning view of Pudong from the Bond-facing rooms—it’s truly breathtaking, especially at night when the skyline lights up. The design is modern yet cozy, and the service was top-notch. A perfect blend of luxury and location. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend The Shanghai Edition. I stayed there recently and had a truly excellent experience. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. The à la carte breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel: delicious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. The location is another big plus — very central, with amazing views of the river from the sky bar, especially at sunset. As someone who loves running, I really appreciated being so close to some spectacular riverside routes along the Pudong — it’s a dream for anyone who likes to start the day with a good run. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the shared spaces in the hotel are quite dark. It’s a stylistic choice that might not be for everyone. But honestly, everything else is so well done that it hardly matters. Definitely a place I’d stay at again and recommend to others without hesitation.

Service here is top-notch. All staff is very attentive from the day I arrived until I left, and they can even remember me(& my room number) througout my stay. Good location. I can see the Bund view from my room. Room & bed is also very comfy. And don't forget to try their Japanese restaurant!

The attention to detail—from the high-quality linens to the curated minibar—was impressive. We also had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were excellent. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety of both Western and Asian options, all fresh and delicious. Dinner was equally memorable, with beautifully presented dishes and rich, layered flavors. The dining venues themselves were stylish and inviting, with great ambiance and city views. Whether it was the impeccable service, the stunning room, or the top-notch dining, everything exceeded our expectations. The Shanghai EDITION is now at the top of my list for future stays in the city—highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined, family-friendly luxury experience in the heart of Shanghai.
