Lovely guesthouse run by Amil. He was kind enough to pick me from railway station as the property was slightly away from Ella town. He also took me around to a few places nearby since the Tuk Tuks werent that reliable. The guesthouse was one of my favorites in Sri Lanka. It had a very homey feel to it. I loved spending time on the Hammock while the sunsets. They went out of their way to prepare Parota and Potato Veggies since I mentioned that I didnt want to eat Kottu or Hoppers. Shoutout to Mangala for giving me company and sharing more about Sri Lanka.
My favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka. We had a wonderful time there, our room was really comfortable and clean, the owner and staff were super friendly and kind and they also helped us to see most of the highlights in Ella. Super amazing breakfast in the beautiful yard, you feel like you are in paradise. In my opinion prices were cheap for what you get. Thank you so much guys!
We had an amazing experience staying at Guesthouse 1964 Boutique Hostel ! We spent two nights there and also enjoyed both lunch and breakfast at the hostel — everything was absolutely delicious. The place is spotless, peaceful, and tucked away from the noise, creating the perfect relaxing atmosphere. There’s a truly magical, vibe with a beautiful view of Ella. A special mention to Lahiro, the owner — such a kind and welcoming person who really made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommend this gem if you’re visiting Ella!
The bungalow is very clean and neat ?. The owner and staff are very friendly. Little bit far from town but highly recommended ?
Our stay was so nice that we extended extra nights, making it the best part of our time in Ella. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering advice on activities and viewpoints. The property is tucked away on the hillside, offering beautiful views while maintaining a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Coffee and tea comes by the pot and I strongly suggest you try their rice and curry for dinner. Would absolutely stay again. Ps. Rent a bike or tuktuk and drive aimlessly around the tea estates.
