211-16 Kamiikesucho, Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, 602-0855, Japan
Got the room on ground floor, for 1 pax (was supposed to be for 2). Pretty spacious even for 2 pax, with a mini 'living room area' with a sofa bed + tv. The balcony is essentially for the aircon so there's not much. Separate toilet and bathroom, and the bathroom is big with a bathtub, stool and small tub for you to sit and wash up. Other amenities: A mini kitchen for you to cook if you wish, with a microwave and boiler. Washing machine and drying rack, with hangers. Charging port for usb and plug right above the bed. But as most places in Japan, the voltage isn't high. Adjustable light for the room and nightlight above th bed, if you prefer not to sleep in the dark. Aircon has 3 functions which is so useful during my stay for spring/summer season – Heater, dehumidifier, cooling air. Didn't stay long enough to ask for making up the room but they do provide enough towels for the stay in the room already so I didn't need to. Location is good, straight bus from Kyoro. Right beside the Imperial Palace. 30 min walk to the central area for food and drinks; I took the 10 min bus ride out and walk back at night and didn't have to take a cab. Straight bus to Bamboo forest, it's a little over 30 mins ride. Definitely recommend walking around to see what there is for breakfast/lunch, then head to central for the nightlife. Most of the restaurants and shops close early for the evening, but the bars stay open around the area. Convenience store is open 24/7, only 10 min walk down. As a solo female traveller, downside is no one is at the reception after 12am so do be careful. But the staff is friendly and the neighbourhood and city is generally safe enough. It's great. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to people going. Am thinking to book same place again for next trip because it's that great and I don't think I need to try another one.
The best place to sleep in Kyoto if you bring your family. For this proce range, it's very worth it. There's a kitchen, bathub, even the washing machine. The staff was kind too. This hotel is very nearby to kamo river too! So you can just walk to kamo river. And there are nearby konbini. But sadly there are no bicycle parking. I'll definitely sleep here again next time!
We got a room with two double beds, enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Very reasonable price. It is a small space, but has everything you could need, including a washing machine, drying room, herd and sink. Staff is nice, we could leave our bags before and after our stay. Position is a 20-ish minutes walk to Kawaramachi, or a 10 minutes bus ride along the 3/4/7/205 route. Next to the imperial garden, great spot for running Second year in a row we stay here
