Wife and I stayed here a couple weeks ago for 5 nights. Room was great. Common areas beautiful. Pools nice though we happened to be there during some loud construction by the main pool, so went to the other. Breakfast buffet was off the charts; tremendous selection and very well executed. Plus very comfortable seating layout, plenty of room between tables. But why I really wrote this review... We were really blown away by the genuine warmth of the staff. We didn't expect that at such a large property, but it was really impressive. They seemed to take pride in their work and have a true appreciation and respect for their customers. Thank you to the staff and kudos to the management for that welcome-home feeling. This was the only hotel we've stayed at in Bangkok so I can't compare to others. If the prices stay in range (for what you get), we'd absolutely stay here again.

Highly recommended (especially for birthday ???). Service and location are excellent, we stayed in the Krungthep Wing (room Type: Krungthep Riverview King) in the 15th floor, the views were stunning. Generally, I personally liked the Krungthep Wing better, it was quieter there and the style is traditional Thai. We arrived very early and were allowed to move into our room earlier. We were very grateful as we urgently needed to sleep. Nick and his colleague at reception were incredibly nice and took care of everything. Nick also provided us with lots of helpful tips and maps. I celebrated my 32nd birthday at Shangri-La - with an amazing afternoon tea, a fantastic massage (Chi Spa) and a romantic Thai dinner (Salathip Restaurant). I received several birthday cakes during my stay. The staff in the lobby (afternoon tea) and also in the restaurant (riverfront dinner) were super friendly, service was excellent.

AMAZING HOTEL AND RESORT! Stayed here in April 2025 and had the most amazing holiday. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They honestly do anything they can to make your stay the absolute best experience and you feel like such VIP’s the whole time you are here. A special shout out to the staff in the health club! They were amazing and the facilities here are first class (treadmills, gym equipment, classes, sauna and steam room just to name a few).

My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon and we are incredibly happy that we chose to stay at the Shangri- La. From the moment we stepped out to check in, to check out - we have had the best experience. The ambiance, the authenticity, the friendliness, and professionalism- everyone and everything was beautiful. We chose to purchase the Horizon Club option along with our room and when I say it's worth it, it's SO worth it. You get breakfast every morning, access to the club room during afternoon snacks & evening happy hour. The staff is so wonderful and the views are great. We didn't have a chance to get everyone's name who supported us but wanted to shoutout two people, Ammy & Teddy, for their kind service! Next, we had an opportunity to use their Chi spa for two 60 min massages. I called their line from the hotel room and Em helped us make the reservation and check us in the reception area of the spa. It is such a vibe! My husband did the Thai massage and I did the 60 min oil massage. Post check in, Em led us to a seated area where we received tea and a cookie prior to meeting our massage therapists. It was so nice to transition from this to the private couples room that was set up for us. Our massage therapists were Bua and Tha. Both are amazing at their craft. Their techniques, professionalism, friendliness, and dedication truly created a remarkable experience for both of us. The hotel itself is adorned with authentic Thai culture and many activities. We went during Songkran and the hotel staff had waterguns for kids and hosted a 2 day party at the pool! The thoughtfulness for the guests is anything but average. There were also live singers and piano players in the evening time! It was so romantic, classy, and timeless. Last but not least - we appreciated the hard working staff that constantly shared their warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm about their roles. We felt so welcome and special that we want to be Shangri-La members for life! We can't wait to share our experiences with our community. Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable.

I loved everything about my stay here. Comfortable rooms with nice amenities. 2 pools, although we preferred one over the other. My husband loved what we called, the chocolate bar in the lobby for his coffee & an occasional drink. The pistachio pastry was delicious here.
