No 1 & 2, Pengkalan Weld, Georgetown, 10300 George Town, Penang, Malaysia
As we walked into the lobby, it had a charming 90s vibe — in a good way. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had medication that needed to be kept chilled, and since the fridge in our room wasn’t cold enough, the front desk staff kindly offered to store it in their chiller overnight. We really appreciated their help. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if robes and face towels were provided. We wish we could have stayed longer!
Was there for a Conference and room stay. Conference facilities were well maintained, equipped and running. The meals from breakfast to dinner were well spread, served and adequate. Nice ambiance and location was great and convenient. The room was also clean and comfortable having the basic cleanliness and hygiene. The hotel is not far from the many famous Penang hawker foods/centres. Can’t complain. Prices for the conference package is competitive.
Rooms are clean with timely housekeeping. It's nice to enter a tidy room every day. Happy with the vanity kit which comes with a pair of facial cotton and cotton buds. Went to the gym and met with its friendly staff Selva. The gym was clean but unfortunately two of the machines were out of order. Nevertheless, great to see small touches such as a water dispenser there for gym users.
I stayed here for a 5 day church camp. Meal staff were very alert with collecting dishes. Low-key I was scared because I'd leave a dish on the table to go get some more food, and they'd clear my plate. I'd regret a little because of food wastage + extra dishes for them to wash for no reason. Poolside one-armed guy was very friendly with the kids. He'd go around helping them pick up balls and encouraging them on their swimming. The big hall underneath the swimming pool has a chlorine smell for some reason. Air conditioning is always very cold, so those from cold countries will like it. It'd be nice if they used charcoal / natural sprays instead of those overly fragranced room sprays because my nose gets assaulted every time I return to the room hallways. The air is very dry too, which makes it worse. Overall it's a good hotel to stay in. For the price and level of service (all the staff are very polite and the security will always open the door for you), it's a good place to stay in. Walkable distance to many tourist spots too. Everything I wrote above is just my nitpicking and I think their staff are all very hardworking.
