Good value for the price. There's lots of local eateries nearby, a supermarket, 7-11 and even a church. It's about a 10 min walk to the New Town shopping district which also connected to the mtr station, so I find it very accessible. The room is spacious and clean enough for me and there's even a filtered water drinking tap provided. Will certainly return for future visits.

The location is highly convenient for public transportation.
The buffet breakfast has been improved compared to last year’s 2024 version, and the food quality is now better controlled.

It’s my second time choosing this hotel, and this time I stayed for 10 days.

Rooms:
The hotel is old and currently under renovation. The air conditioning feels humid and a bit uncomfortable. On the 9th floor, the corridor air is damp and unpleasant, while the 12th floor feels much better. On the positive side, the front desk staff are always willing to offer room upgrades, which I truly appreciate.

Services:
Service outside the front desk is disappointing.

- The breakfast buffet staff are understandably busy in the mornings, but that doesn’t excuse rudely denying us entry one day when our booking clearly included breakfast. I had to call the front desk to resolve the issue, and meanwhile my elderly grandmother was made to walk unnecessarily because of the staff’s mistake.

- At the patisserie, on September 22nd afternoon, staff failed to mention the in-house guest discount, so I paid full price. The next day, I overheard another staff member asking a guest for their room number, and that’s when I was informed there was a 20% discount I had missed.

Overall, front desk service is excellent, but the rest of the staff really need proper training.

While the service (from cleaning ladies) was delightful, we couldn’t say the same about the hygiene. The ground floor was under construction when we had our stay, making it really dusty. On first glance, the rooms looked pretty clean but reeked of urine, sweat, and cigarettes. When we took a closer look at any crevices or under the bed, it was also filthy. The air quality was terrible, since that the ventilation wasn’t working really well. It was constantly stuffy and the vents were filled with dust. I saw other reviews saying that their fridges had mold; we didn’t see any in ours, but we found a lot in the bathroom which made us sick. Molds should be cleaned regularly as they are a biohazard. We actually got sick from them…

We chose this place for its cheaper price, but I certainly would not recommend it for anyone who has a care for their own health and hygiene.

Hardware never been updated since 30years ago. Pillowcases have hair on them and the toilets don’t flush well. The ground floor ones look like a murder scene.

The hotel is also being multi-tasked to serve as a student hostel and a post-partum care center. Great for those who need it, not so much for those who’s just staying for a few night.
