Corner Waterloo Quadrant &, Princes Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand
Older hotel that has been renovated relatively recently. Room is a good size and in excellent condition. Amenities are good - gym, bar etc. Place is very clean. Good value for money, though $50/day for parking is a little rich. Breakfast buffet is expensive. Instead order room service breakfast - one serve is enough for 3 people! Staff are great. Location is good near the university and a short stroll to the city, gardens and waterfront. Beware if not fit that it is on top of a steep hill! Highly recommend.
loved how clean the rooms are!! breakfast was amazing you can order with the chefs different eggs ,waffles etc. which was so good even though there was already so much on offer. The kids loved the juicer machine so they could make there own fresh juice every day. It was a shame we only found out on the last morning you could also order a coffee at the bar at breakfast time at no extra cost !!! they were really good. The massive pool was well used such a bonus!!
We only stayed for one night but we felt well cared for and the lounge was great. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. The pool and spa room was great. Breakfast was really super and all the staff were lovely. The only thing that we felt needed looking into was the water pressure, we literally had to run around in the shower to get wet, not a big deal and the desk said that they would let maintenance know.
We stayed here as a family on our first visit to Auckland. Beds were big, comfy and perfect for a good night’s rest. Staff were warm and helpful — special thanks to the team who really tried to assist when an issue with the Accor app deleted our reservation (and our welcome drinks). Room amenities and hotel facilities were generally fine, though the rooms themselves were on the small side — more like the size you'd find in a Japanese city hotel. Some maintenance is needed (loose screws on the room lock and bathroom hook), and the overall feel was a bit outdated for a five-star hotel. The buffet was fairly average in variety, but we really enjoyed the taste and service. One thing to note for families: the pool is a lap pool, so not ideal for toddlers or younger kids. Ours had fun in the jacuzzi, but of course, you can’t keep little ones in there too long. It’s also not in the most convenient spot if you need easy access to supermarkets or pharmacies. Overall, a pleasant stay with lovely staff, but if you’re after more space or luxury, you may want to explore other options.
Room was good, well serviced. Hotel was very clean & comfortable. Food & drinks were good. The buffet breakfast was yummy with plenty of options to choose from. Close enough walk (12 mins) to main of town & 20 min walk to viaduct area
