We had a great experience staying at this hostel! One of its standout features is the amazing staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay, which made a big difference. They were always ready to provide tips on what to do in the area, and their warm attitude really added to the overall atmosphere of the place. The location is also fantastic, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. That said, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. The common area is quite small, which limits the opportunities for socializing with other guests or relaxing outside of your room. It felt a bit cramped, and a larger communal space would have made the experience even better. Additionally, the rooms themselves are quite compact, with very little space to move around or organize your belongings. It’s not ideal if you’re trying to unpack or need some room to handle your daily tasks comfortably. Overall, despite the limited space in the rooms and common area, the friendly staff and convenient location make this hostel a great choice. It’s a wonderful spot for travelers looking for a welcoming and centrally located place to stay.
Loved my stay at this hostel! The room was super clean and comfy, and the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly, helpful, and great at communicating in English, making communication smooth and enjoyable. They really made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location is awesome too, close to attractions and just a short walk to the subway. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance!
Although the space is a bit cramped, the hostel is very comfortable and cozy. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the station, which made getting around super convenient. The staff were also incredibly helpful and kind, making the stay even more enjoyable. Great value overall!
Had a short but nice stay here in January. Very conveniently located near to the Ginza line and Asakusa, but away from the noise of the area. Very clean, rooms have ample storage space. Friendly staff too. No big social atmosphere, but very pleasant to have a quiet and clean place to rest close to lots of attractions.
As far as hostels go, Plat hostel is great for the price - we paid $100 (AUD) each (pp) for 2 nights for a total of 4 double bed rooms booked. We had communal/shared bathrooms and showers but it wasn’t a problem, the toilets are right next to the room so it’s almost like having a en suite to be honest. The rooms itself are rather small and it was a bit of a struggle to fit all our belongings inside but we managed. Also the rooms get super hot and stuffy due to their small size but it was fine, we also didn’t spend much time in the hostel anyway, only to sleep. One other minor complaint is the lift- there’s only one lift and it takes a long time to operate. Stairs weren’t really an option because they were located inside our bedroom and took us to outdoor industrial stairs which seemed to be for emergency use only. all in all, this is actually a great hostel especially for the price. The location is great, the staff let us check in 2 hours early, the rooms are clean and the communal spaces are perfect. One additional thing to note is if you go out at night, past 11pm, you’ll need the code to the hostel main door, they didn’t provide us with this but thankfully there was a guest on the balcony that I could call out to for help.
