As a 4 star hotel, I have to say I'm disappointed with the service. 1) when we reached the hotel in the evening, there was no bell boy to help us with the luggages. Also to take note, there's no shelter area where you alight like other 4 star or 5 star hotels. 2) we booked the new wing which is higher price than the old wing, yet the connecting walkway between the old and new building doesn't have adequate shelter, which was important for rainy weather. 3) options for breakfast are very limited, and the taste wasn't good. 4) the hairdryer is really lousy for a 4 star hotel, wind speed is low, and the model feels old as you have to keep holding onto the button in order for the hair dryer to work and I can't use my dyson hairdryer here. Good luck to those with long hair.

Rooms are spacious for a family of four. They have automatic toilet which is great. Bathtub is big, rainfall shower is the best and their bed is comfy. But having a see-through bathroom is not really a good choice. It’s not like we are staying as a couple. We are friends and family and there should be privacy. Breakfast view is great but breakfast selection is mehhhhh but we loved their guava with plum salt. They change their breakfast menu every other day. Customer service is a joke. I mean, why is no one taking our luggage to our room and assisting us when we have a kid. Focus more on customer service.

Very Poor service. Wonder how many stars is this hotel! No even one to help us to carry luggage when we are carrying around 100kg of luggage after moving from other district. We are arranged to stay in the new building which is quite some distance away from the entrance. Only ONE hanging scales available. We would like to borrow for a while to our which is quite some distance away at the new building but not allowed at all, the reason is that ONLY ONE HANGING SCALE IS AVAILABLE. The worst thing is, the walkway to the new building doesn’t have proper roof top, imagine we have to go through an area which we are under rain! Will never consider this hotel anymore in the future.

Location- about 10 mins walk from Xi men ding station. Not the friendliest stretch of walk for the fastest way back to the hotel. It’s dark and broken pathways.

Cleanliness- pretty alright. Can tell that the sofa and certain fixture are very run down. Old but usable.

Staff- They are very helpful especially the night staffs. The bellman, pretty much a joke. The rest are just professionals. Nothing beyond a wow service.

Facilities- As mentioned, run down.
Despite recently renovated, (as they claimed.) the tables, cabinet etc are all in a wrecked state. Clean but chipping off.

Plus point: Amazing breakfast view, overlooking the river. Delicious local delicacies near the hotel. 5-7 mins walk from a 7-11 and family mart. Breakfast buffet is pretty delicious! Local taste. Braised pork porridge, some Chinese stir-fry dish and fruits.

Minus point: right beside a fire station.  Crazy loud sirens. Hotel room walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbour opening and closing the closet. No toothbrush, and other toiletries provided as of Jan 2025. (Unsure if it’s a new law implemented.)

Overall: 3/5 Decent clean stay that’s about it.
