No. 33號, Singuang Rd, Cianjhen District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 806
Luxurious hotel with one of the best Asian breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. My wife had to call me out as I can’t help but express out how delicious it is on every dish that I eat. Wish I’ve tried the other restaurants but I’ve only got one night. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Small but neat gym with all the basic things you need. Will definitely be staying here again the next time I go to Kaohsiung.
This was a beautiful hotel featuring modern amenities and high-tech setups in the rooms. The room was functionally arranged, with a separate toilet area and a stunning soaking tub that overlooked the city. The services were excellent, starting with a warm greeting at the entrance, where the door was held open for us. The fitness reception staff was attentive, and housekeeping/reception staff were flexible in accommodating our requests. Although the gym was on the smaller side, it never felt overcrowded. While there wasn’t a sauna, there was a coed jacuzzi by the pool area, which allowed my partner and me to relax together. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including made-to-order local options. The dining room had a calm and pleasant atmosphere, quite the opposite of the rushed experience we had at the Grand Hyatt in Taipei. The hotel was conveniently located just a short walk from the MRT (red line) and light rail, making it easy to visit all the tourist sites in Kaohsiung. We look forward to staying here again when we return next year.
As a IHG Diamond Ambassador, I have just completed our first stay in this iconic luxury business hotel in Kaohsiung. It was our first vacation to south Taiwan, and It was also our first trip to this exciting port city in Taiwan. Our stay consists of 4 nights (10-14 March) and it is a mixture of both IHG Destined and redemption stay. This property is very popular with conference participants and holiday-makers and the hotel rates are high, corresponding to the demand from customers. Just some highlights without writing a thesis: - Room - We were grateful to have been upgraded to a junior suite for all four nights. The room is obviously spacious and luxurious. The kind gesture of a welcome card, fresh flowers (very beautiful orchids), fruits and snacks is appreciated. Housekeeping is great. Strong shower pressure is well appreciated. Requests for firm and memory foam pillows were also well received and delivered to the room. The bedding is truly amazing - we had difficulty getting out of the beds every morning as they are so comfortable! - Executive Lounge - We were invited to check in at the executive lounge, having access to the annual lounge pass. We enjoyed having a dedicated quiet place. The Food and Beverage is excellent, especially the absolutely OMG pastries and cakes during tea-time. The dinner consists of some light-bites from the various restaurants (and the sakura shrimps fried rice from Zhan Lu led us to have dinner at the restaurant proper - amazing culinary experience). Also, we regretted not having more breakfasts in the club lounge, as the restaurant was generally packed during breakfast. The young bespectacled chef cooked very nice made-to-order dishes on the spot for us during breakfast in the lounge on the 14th March. It is obvious he is very passionate about cooking, and he is very friendly as well. - could not remember his name but great job. Overall, the F&B quality in the hotel is outstanding. - Staff - Friendly and professional, yet reserved, as compared to the extroverted and very bubbly staff we have encountered in the Indigo Alishan where we have stayed the night before. The personalities were just different in various parts of Taiwan. As we got to know each other better during the stay, we enjoyed chatting with the lounge staff, and they wanted us to enjoy our time in the hotel. Overall, a very nice hotel stay. We look forward to be back in a next trip to Kaohsiung.
I stayed for two nights, and this hotel truly pays attention to the details. The overall design is modern, yet thoughtfully curated. From the moment I stepped out of the car, I noticed something unusual—the greeter was a woman dressed in a plain yet futuristic outfit. What made this stand out even more was the entrance door itself: extremely heavy and imposing. It felt almost controversial, as most hotels would assign a male greeter for such a physically demanding task. The choice challenged the norm and left a strong first impression. As I entered the lobby, I realized the design subtly reflects Kaohsiung’s identity as a city by the ocean. The space evokes the feeling of being deep underwater, blending oceanic elements . The restaurants here are top-tier. Zhan Lu serves Chinese cuisine, and the food was absolutely exquisite. Seeds, the casual dining option, has one of the best salad bars I’ve seen—no filler vegetables thrown in just for show. Instead, you get unique, highly nutritious greens, complemented by quality additions like smoked salmon. Some unique observations that stood out: 1. The air conditioning is exceptionally quiet. 2. The restroom seems to eliminate odor silently—very impressive. 3. The shower transitions from hot to cold with a subtle buffering, which made it easier to take cold showers without the sudden shock. 4. The room supports voice commands in Mandarin (similar to Alexa). 5. I’m genuinely impressed by how well they incorporated ocean-inspired design elements without making it feel cheesy or gimmicky. One thing that could be improved: The bar section had quite some mosquitos, they didn’t bite, but were kinda annoying. Overall, it was an impressive stay, what an experience!!
Fantastic place to stay in Kaohsiung. Very new and clean, vibe the high class vibes. The hotel was staff were very friendly and professional. The gym had more machines and slightly bigger, similar to the pool area. Location wise was Close to public transport and right across to a mall, pretty much walking distant to the famous Love Pier. All in all it was great for my longgg stay and recommended!
