Jalan Panglima Pantar, Sebong Lagoi, Kec. Tlk. Sebong, Kabupaten Bintan, Kepulauan Riau 29155, Indonesia
The good- Service was fast when you needed something like toilet paper or water etc…, you get your own buggy, although the 4 buggy’s we got was not well maintained (booked 4 villas for a family of 17) nice big size of villas, AC was working and powerful, pool had deck chairs and a lovely float. You have a Coffee machine with pods and cutlery. The Bad- Outdoor toilets were not maintained with leaves everywhere and not cleaned up during daily room cleaning. Water pressure for showers is terrible. It’s quite far from anything so you have to eat in the restaurants of the compound which was expensive for Indonesian standards which is about 20-50 usd per person per meal. TV channels were local and blurry.
Great thing about staying in this villa is that you get your personal buggy, and you can drive around the resort by yourself which honestly just adds to the experience. Loved the villa - it was so spacious, private and convenient. We went during the monsoon season which was the lull period so we practically had the resort to ourselves and a few other families. No crowds, good amenities to keep us occupied, and the staff is friendly and helpful too. 5/5 would return again!
The Resort is big and full of activities in which some are not very well kept unfortunately. The villa that we stayed in was very nice and big. However as they are in the mist of all the plant and water… there is an army of Mozzies so remember to get mosquito coils….. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Language is not a problem, as they speak good English. Food on the other hand not that fantastic. Overall I rate this place an areas nice chill place if you r not look at all the hassel and bustle.
Update: The reply to my original post stated that those listed on the website were not available for our stay as it was a corporate owned villa rental. Unfortunately the front desk had not provided clarity on this at the time. The bungalow was big and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with stove top, microwave, fridge and cooking utensils. Bed was comfortable and bathrooms big. Nice view from the patio/swimming pool. TV in living room was smart and Netflix ready but small (32 inch) for the size of a big living area and only 2-seater sofa in front of the TV, with a bungalow for up to 8 persons. Within our unit, the outdoor bath/shower for the master bedroom didn't work. We told the reception on the way to lunch and they sent someone on it immediately. When we got back, the shower was working but not the tap for the bath. We gave up after that. The TV in the master bedroom only has local channels but was very fuzzy and unwatchable. We left some unopened food on the kitchen counter overnight and found it at the other end of the counter with holes in the packaging. The staff told us it's likely a squirrel as there's plenty in the area when we told them. Toilet seat cover in master bedroom was wrong fit. There's a gap between the seat cover and the toilet and the seat moved whenever someone sat on it. Not a very comfortable experience. There are some things that were stated on the website as included or complimentary but weren't provided. When we inquired at the reception, we were told they are chargeable or no longer available for a while already. Some of the facilities for activities within the Nirwana Resorts looked really old and not well maintained. I didn't feel safe to use them. The air gun I had was jammed multiple times during my 50-pellets shoot. Unable to roam out of the resorts' grounds unless you hire a vehicle as the free shuttle had been cancelled since COVID. Overall, the stay was still enjoyable. Staff were friendly and spoke English. The service was good and prompt actions were taken when things were reported. It would have been better if we didnt have to report things that didn't work right after we checked in. The expectation management and maintenance of activities facilities could be better. Good if you just want to chill in the pool and not do very much.
Very nice plac,e highly recommended. Stayed with big family but one villa is more than neough for everyone. Really liked that we get free drinks in the room and it is replenished every day. Would recommend more to visit during non-monsoon season if you want to do water activites. Pool was quite nice but only thing is that there is alot of leaf. Activties is at other resorts, and it is much walkable. Nice we get a buggy that we can drive around becuase at night it is very dark and can get easily lost.
