Best hotel we stayed at during our 2-week honeymoon in Japan. Out of all the places we booked (all with special notes mentioning it was our honeymoon), Traveltine was the only one that truly made us feel special. They reserved a beautiful corner room on the top floor (level 10) with great views, a small table, and a couch. At check-in, the receptionist took a Polaroid photo of us, which was later delivered to our room along with a handwritten postcard signed by the team, such a thoughtful touch! The hotel also has a lovely lounge where you can enjoy free orange juice, cold water, and coffee. Our room was spacious, clean, and had daily room service, plus a proper bath to relax in. It might be a bit more expensive compared to other stays, but it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!
Amazing hotel! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, the rooms are spacious and very soundproofed so we didn’t hear any road noise at all. We didn’t have any Dyson hairdryers in our room and there are no more bikes on site for use anymore. The location is amazing, it’s walkable to so many popular locations in Kyoto. This is probably our favourite hotel for this trip based on cost to value! We will definitely be back :)
We arrived at our hotel in Kyoto and were very happy with the location—it’s in a great area, away from the noise but still within walking distance to many attractions. There’s also a convenient bus and train station nearby, which made getting around super easy. The rooms were just right—not too big, but definitely not too small either. Comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The service really stood out: the staff was exceptionally polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt very well taken care of and enjoyed our stay a lot. Highly recommended!
An overall very good experience at the hotel Traveltine in Kyoto. The hospitality was genuine and friendly. We were lucky enough to be introduced to origami by one of the staff member shorter after arriving in the lobby. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they left us a lovely note in the room and took our photos with a Polaroid when we first checked-in as a nice souvenir and intention. The only thing I would like to mention is that the items for breakfast are very limited, a few pastries are available. So I would recommend to go a convenient store the night before to ensure you have something that will fuel you for the day.
Great location, 15 minutes down the road from the busy main streets but so quiet and peaceful! Very close to the river for morning walks. The rooms were really lovely, comfy beds, and the service was excellent. There was even a small complimentary breakfast laid out for guests in the morning. Couldn't recommend this hotel more. Don't hesitate to book!
