Japan, 〒604-8214 Kyoto, Nakagyo Ward, Mukadeyacho, 387
Well located and with everything you’d need. Decent sized rooms for Japanese standards and the amenities were quite decent. Great massage chairs too. The rooms fall a bit flat decor wise. There’s so much they could do to make it a bit more appealing taking into account it’s in the heart of a city with so much heritage. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming too. Not many western options, however their scrambled eggs were fire.
Just completing a wonderful 3-nights stay. The hotel location is central and easily accesses a wide range of shopping options & attractions. We arrived early before check-in starts and the staff happily kept our luggage while we explored the area. The smaller neighbourhood feel provides endless dining opportunities. The room was well appointed and spacious (keeping in mind compact room sizes in Japan). Mr. N. Yanase at the front desk was especially helpful and went above and beyond to assist us with special luggage details. Breakfast service offered so many options to suit any preferences. The communal bath experience was so relaxing with every detail well thought out. I’m so grateful.
Beautiful luxury hotel. The accommodations were lovely, especially the spa bathroom! The breakfast buffet was stellar, plus the happy hour with spa water (mixed with fruit and Japanese drinking vinegar) and snacks and the ochazuke with Kyoto pickles!
Very clean and tidy hotel, more on traditional side, we enjoyed good mattresses and pillows. Enough space for luggage and belongings, we even had sofa and table in the room, plastic door and low ceiling in the bathroom(and its kinda oldschool looking), they have spa (baths) but you can’t open windows there,so for me it was no go-no air there- you just wash and go,no soaking or enjoying the moment, because of the absence of the oxygen. Also hotel provides snacks and drinks (even alcohol) in the lobby during the day which was lovely.
How do I even begin to describe how exceptional this stay was? I’ll do my best. This hotel honestly felt like a five-star experience with a cozy lounge offering free drinks, coffee, and snacks, amazing service, so many thoughtful amenities, and even an onsen. The location was perfect. Peacefully tucked away from the noisy parts of Kyoto, yet surrounded by lovely local food spots. (Tsubomi is a must if you’re craving Okonomiyaki or Takoyaki!) Everything was so clean and luxurious, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. I loved every bit of our time here. We were on our honeymoon, and the staff went above and beyond to decorate the room and make it feel incredibly special. It’s the kind of care you never forget. Sending lots of love from India ?
