This boutique hotel is a little gem in the heart of Beijing, where we felt peace and bliss. The first thing we saw when we arrived was Thomas’ bright smile, he gave us a tour of the hotel and finished in the dining area with fresh fruit and local pastries, he made us feel welcomed and important. He then introduced us to Iris, a beautiful young lady who was absolutely committed to making sure we had everything we needed. There was nothing they wouldn’t do to help us, they made us feel like family, we are so grateful for their generous hospitality. Would love to stay here again in the future. We definitely recommend it!
This is boutique hotel in a central huting in Beijing. Its quiet, clean and modern. The staff was helpful especially Mrs Zhang. The rooms were clean and the courtyard was relaxing. They had bicycles available for use and provided a nice breakfast with western and chinese cuisine. I would definitely stay here again.
As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a the receptionist (who I forgot the name of) who explained everything briefly and kindly. He even gave us a tour of the hotel. The room was very nice and cozy, however the room was lacking a mini fridge to store food. Nevertheless, the great location of the hotel made it easy to find delicious local delicacies nearby. The hotel also has its own restaurant which was operated three lovely and kind ladies. However, some days, the restaurant gets very busy and the service can get slow. This can all be forgiven thanks to the apologies and extra snacks given throughout the wait. Overall, this is a brilliant hotel if you’re looking for great service and a local taste of Beijing.
The Hotel Cote Cour is quintessential old Beijing. The rooms and grounds are exactly what one would envision when they think of China. The hotel is walking distance to some of Beijing’s best shopping and food, a stone’s throw from the Forbidden City, and it’s easy to take a day drip to see the Great Wall. The staff during mine and my family’s stay was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, and the front desk employees (and many others) spoke English. The front desk staff was helpful in calling us taxis and even prepaying for taxis. The morning breakfast was also a wonderful mix of traditional Chinese breakfast foods and Western staples. The hotel would offer Chinese soups (jian bing), Chinese buns, and tea, as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads, and jam, for example. Overall, everyone in my group was very happy with Hotel Cote Cour.
Located in a real Hutong... this very beaufiful and extremely well designed, modern, yet authentic rimeless chinese decor, doesn't at first strike you...First thoughts - there's nothing 4 star about this place .... but then you step in, you are received (we landed near midnight)....and once you meet Xiaokou and then Wang ..and then Xiaoji... and virtually every other staff, and this place becomes virtually a very special place to stay. Highly recommended. Thank you for making our stay and the send off so special
