Colombo City Centre, 137 Muttiah Rd, Colombo 00200, Sri Lanka
Stayed here on the night of the 20th of April 2025. Nice location where it’s connected to a medium sized mall (Colombo city centre). Rooms were nice and comfortable with all mod cons. The highlight easily was the pool. Beautiful views of the surrounding buildings, Beira lake and ocean from pool. Cocktails were yummy and pool side service was on point as was the front desk team at check in. Room for improvements would be in the catering side. I had the dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet. While there were a lot of choices, there was no ‘wow’ factor. The omelette station in the morning was hard to find as it’s all by itself self across the room, easy to miss. I walked around twice before spotting it. No other egg options on the main buffet like scrambled eggs, which I thought was weird. Staff were really nice and full points for offering real orange juice which is rare in Sri Lankan hotels as most have cordial. Thanks Marriott Courtyard team.
I recently visited Courtyard Hotel in Colombo and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt modern, calm, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where everything flows smoothly—whether you're there for work, a meet-up, or just some downtime. What stood out immediately was the food. I tried the chicken salad and it was incredibly fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being too heavy. The black coffee, though, was the real highlight. Bold, rich, and brewed just right—it’s the kind of cup that leaves a lasting impression. Another unexpected treat was the sunset view. If you get the chance, step out in the evening. Watching the sun dip below the Colombo skyline from the terrace was peaceful and surprisingly calming. It’s not every day you get to enjoy such a moment in the middle of the city. Overall, Courtyard Hotel blends good food, professional service, and scenic views in a way that feels effortless. Whether you're stopping by or planning a stay, it’s definitely a place worth checking out.
We recently stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Colombo, and from start to finish, it was such a wonderful experience. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was able to use my points to book an Ocean View Premium Room, which made the stay feel even more special and great value. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were impressed – it’s modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. We were given a lovely room on the 16th floor, and the view was absolutely stunning – a mix of city lights and the ocean stretching into the distance. It was raining that evening, so we missed the sunset and didn’t get to use the pool, but honestly, the cozy vibe in the room more than made up for it. The room was spacious, super clean, and had everything we needed – big LED TV, comfy bed, sleek bathroom, and thoughtful touches throughout. You could tell the team takes cleanliness and upkeep seriously. We had the seafood-themed dinner buffet, which was fantastic – everything was fresh and full of flavor. The breakfast buffet the next morning was just as impressive, with a wide selection and great presentation. The bakery corner was a real standout – so good! One thing we really appreciated was how peaceful and quiet the whole place felt, even though it’s right in the heart of Colombo. The views made us feel like we were miles away from the busy city – it was the perfect mix of calm and convenience. The staff were genuinely warm, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. Their friendly attitude really added to the overall positive experience. We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend Courtyard by Marriott Colombo to anyone looking for a stylish, relaxing stay in the city. Whether you’re here on business or just want a weekend getaway, this place strikes the right balance between comfort, elegance, and great service. ♥️
WE ENJOYED the dinner buffet. From the service to the ambience everything was fantastic. Staff went out of the way. As a foreigner we felt welcomed and it gave us the opportunity to try true Sri Lanka cuisine. They definitely did not disappoint. Vegetarian and meat delights on offer were truly delicious. We also had the opportunity to sample Chinese and western delights. A big shout out to the concierge Ranhiru who hailed us a taxi from his phone. Just going over and beyond his duty. Truly a culinary trip worth taking in Colombo.
